Outstanding TV

The screen is so nice, it gave me the wow factor when I first turned it on. Sounds quality is very nice also. As always with Best Buy shipping it is free and the shipment came early. I highly recommend this tv from Best Buy.

It has all the streaming apps I needed already pre-installed and the wifi connection is plenty fast enough. Set up was also quite easy since it paired well with my S8 and took less than five minutes.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's start with the good: the TV powers on, the screen displays beautiful color which is sometimes bolstered by a table lamp. The bad: It's like dating. You'll start off and everything will be great, you'll be shocked at how easy and smooth things are going. You'll find yourself having a great time, watching your favorite shows, then slowly the wifi will drop every once in a while. Then it won't find the network at all. You'll be confused. Things were so great! What could have happened?! You'll restart dozens of times until one day you'll get a message "WiFi is turned off". It's the kiss of death, it'll make you miserable and you'll reconsider watching TV altogether. You'll find yourself scouring the internet trying to find help to resolve it and you'll come across so many people with the same issues. It's not you, it's the TV. The resolutions are ridiculous and sometimes work, if you're lucky. For instance, common resolutions are to turn off the quick start or change the LG service country temporarily (to any other arbitrary country), restart the TV, then revert back to your original country. If you happen to have my luck, these inane fixes will not work and you'll be sitting sad on the couch, chilling without Netflix. * I bought an open-box because clearly I don't know how to pick 'em

Your router location and distance from the TV are important considerations -- having them both on the same floor with minimal interference blocking the signal (like a wall, etc.) will improve connection. You may also want to try wired LAN, if possible, since the connection will be faster and more reliable.

The kids have used them a lot and constantly leave them on continuously. Samsung TVs have been the best TVs I have tried over the years.

Great Picture. WIFI issues

However a issue I have is the wireless adapter does not want to stay connected and I have to physically reset the network connection on the TV to get wifi to work again. Have disabled IPv6 and turned off ANYNET connection for HDMI port 1. Still having issues. I have a 2016 Samsung 4k with no issues what so ever so don't know if the cards the used with this model set are garbage or if a firmware update would fix the issue. Would probably at the 7 or 8 series if you have some extra money

Good TV set for the price

I needed a TV for a bedroom and this Samsung NU6900 Series was the right size at a great price $279 on sale. I bought a LG 43' (not sure what model was) about the same price with better features & quality on paper including Bluetooth from Sam's Club, but after I hooked it up picture was horrible. After a few days I returned I got this TV. However, if need a TV for living room this fall short. Only 2 HDMI, no Bluetooth, remove is old style, picture is good but not great as another Samsung TV I have.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV to replace another Samsung 1080p HD TV that I had cracked the screen. Some of my co-workers have 4K tvs and were raving about the picture so I thought I'd upgrade to 4K. At first I was happy with the picture but the more I watched the less I liked it. If the background was on the darker side the picture was beautiful but if it was lighter everything else, especially skin tones, was washed out and it didn't seem to matter what angle I watched from. I haven't done any streaming with it so I don't know about the wi-fi capabilities. I usually stream from my PS4. I actually prefer the picture quality of my old tv and plan on returning this one and get another of my older model. Oh and the sound quality leaves a little to desire too. It's ok but not great. Setup was easy and since I was replacing another Samsung I didn't need to switch remotes or power cords.

Nice picture, poor sound
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this one open-box, supposedly inspected and certified excellent by Geek Squad. Got it home, all parts, manual, etc., were present. Relatively easy setup, with a short learning curve. Picture was nice, but sound was poor. Fuzz and distortion in the audio to varying degrees, sometimes better, sometimes worse, but always readily noticeable and annoying. I'm not an audiophile, I'm not demanding; I just want to hear sound clear enough to understand, that won't make me grind my teeth to hear it. I'm in the process of trying to resolve the problem. If Customer Service / Geek Squad makes it right, I'm ok with that. This is my first time at Best Buy and with Samsung, so I have no previous frame of reference; but my old, smaller 32" Sony looked and sounded great with the same input signal source right up until it softly went >pop!< and died. But based solely on this initial (and yet to be finished) experience, I would not recommend this Samsung TV.
