TERRIBLE

I have been in the AV business for close to 25 years so I am pretty well versed in these matters. Terrible sound and the picture is noisy even with good 1080P sources. not recommended. This one replaced an almost 10 year old LG which blew this Samsung out of the water.

Almost impossible initial setup

Samsung forces the use of a mobile phone for setup. There was no apparent capability for using just the TV remote. I tried to help over the phone but it proved to be almost impossible for her. Best Buy Geek Squad refused to help with the setup. This was way too difficult to just watch a TV program.

When you turn on the TV for the first time, the Samsung Smart Remote pairs to the TV automatically. If the Samsung
Smart Remote does not pair to the TV automatically, point it at the remote control sensor of the TV, and then press and hold the Back (curved arrow) and Play/Pause symbol buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds or more.

Best Buy Does Not Stand Behind It's Products
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Samsung 43" UHD 4K TV at the Melbourne, FL store on 17 March 2019. The TV worked great until 1 April when it no longer stayed on. I contacted Best Buy customer service for a replacement and was told the TV exceeds their 15-day return policy... I had the TV for 16 days!! They told me to call Samsung for repair. Fortunately, Samsung came out and replaced the one and only circuit board in the TV after a 6 day wait. The fact that Best Buy would sell a defective TV and hide behind a ridiculous 15 day policy is pathetic. I'll stick with Amazon from now on... they allow returns up to 30 days. Best Buy is more than happy to match Amazon pricing but once you're out the door they could care less about you. I'll never shop at Best Buy again.

Disappointed

The menu is along the bottom and not user friendly. The picture is dark and not vibrant as the videos show. I will be returning g it uh lives Silverton e can fix the issues

what a joke

I purchased this TV solely for the ability to stream programming through the apps. I literally have to unplug my tv and plug it in every day in order for the Wi-Fi to work and to be able to use the television as it was intended ( my Wi-Fi is working perfectly fine on every other device) I've reached out to Best Buy as well as Samsung and yet my issue has not been resolved. Best Buy won't let me bring it in and get a new one because it's been past 45 days and Samsung won't send me a new one, they want to send a technician out and have me take the day off work so they can look at it and tell me that it's not working. I thought Samsung products were better than this and due to that everything I own is Samsung. Thanks a lot Best Buy, I guess being a Platinum Elite member doesn't really mean anything

Had to wait a couple weeks to get a replacement and when I did the sound quality was horrendous. I settled with it, didn’t want to deal with customer service.

Constant flickering.

At first it was once every hour or so but now it's every couple minutes. I wish I would of returned after I bought but I didn't have a car at the time. It's a real bummer and can make gaming a very frustrating experience.

Looks like garbage from the sides

We have multiple places to sit in our living room but the only place it looks good is straight on. When viewed from the side it looks like someone is running a fog machine on the scene and the colors look out of wack. I'll be returning this. From googling around about this TV I suspect there will be a lot of open box of these sitting at the store...

Internet connection issues almost every time you turn it on, then can't hold a connection. Do yourself a favor, buy LG. Not sure if it's the actual television construction, or the Samsung technology that requires data to be transmitted there for you to be connected. Complete failure, whatever it is. We have 3 of these pieces of junk, will be replacing with LG as soon as possible. We have one LG that is flawless in connection, same distance from router, all that junk. Samsung TVs are trash.

Do Not Buy this Samsung TV

We purchased back in November of 2018 and we're still waiting (multiple support tickets open with Samsung) for the Samsung and DirecTV Now to get an app on the Smart TV that isn't in beta. The beta version does not work, we have switch back to a Roku connected to the TV. This will be my last Samsung device. We have several other Sharp and LG TV's in the house and any streaming app we want to use installs and works perfectly. This TV and the software that makes it a Smart TV is no good. Do yourself a favor and go with a manufacturer that you know you won't have to worry about what apps are compatible.

Seriously, don’t...

When I contacted Best Buy, they informed me that since it’s been over 15 DAYS, I would have to reach out to the manufacturer. Long story short, they sent out a completely incompetent “Samsung authorized” service company. TWICE. With no luck. It has now been a month since this nightmare began and Samsung basically told me it’s the service company’s problem now, the company doesn’t care, and I still have a broken TV. Yay.

Picture great, horrible sound quality

Some of the other reviews referenced this but I thought I would roll the dice. The sound quality was bad, very tinny sounding, so I took it back.

Very disappointed with 43" Samsung

In October 2018, entire right half of the screen went dark. It was episodic for a short time, now permanent. Went online and did a chat with a technician -- ran a test and determined it was not a software issue. Told me they would email me instructions for getting it repaired, but did not follow through. I believe I have seen someone else write a review reporting the same issue, but for them it was the left half of the screen. Have a larger / older Samsung in another room and it has been great.

Stopped working 6 mnths after purchase

SOUND IS TERRIBLE

IT sounds muffled and I tried swapping the HDMI and tried to using the netflix and it still sounds terrible. Unclear sound and the netflix keeps getting kicked off, like itll go back to cable. I bought this yesterday and will be returning.

This TV is a lemon

Spent time with Samsung’s customer service but nothing got resolved, Finally the tv just quit even turning on! Now have to deal with the return.

TV will not connect to server

I read all of the online remedies and it will still not connect to the server. This mean the tv is practically wall art at this point. Very disappointed
