Bad Samsung

Please know that the location of your wireless router / modem / access point will affect your signal strength. Please place your router in a central location ensuring the distance between the TV and your router does not exceed 50ft. (15.2m). Interference from other wireless devices, stone walls, and appliances like microwaves could possibly weaken Wi-Fi signal.
You may want to run a Smart Hub Connection test by going to Home > Settings > Support > Self-diagnosis > Signal information. If you need additional assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support via any of the following options:

Looks pretty, but occasional screen blackouts

I bought this TV last month as a college graduation gift to myself after doing some research. I wasn't planning to drop more than $500 on a TV (I bought this for $379), and anything bigger than 43" was going to be too big for my room. I wasn't expecting this TV to be a huge upgrade from my old 1080p Insignia TV, but I was pleasantly surprised with vibrant colors and crisp images, especially with my new PS4 Pro. The only problem that I've had with this TV, and while it has only happened to me twice, is that the screen has gone black for a few seconds and given me the loading dial while playing video games. Again, out of the one month I've had it, this has only happened twice (both while offline gaming on my PS4 Pro). I remembered reading a review before buying this TV that someone had almost the exact same instance about it going black, but I wrote it off as just somebody complaining about something very rare and what was probably a result of their own incompetency with modern tech. After this had happened to me the second time (which was last night 01/01/19) I became really nervous. I did a little research and moved my PS4 Pro to the HDMI 2 input, and we'll see if this makes a difference. If Samsung sees this and helps me fix it, I would be happy to change this to a five-star review and refer a friend. I'm just disappointed that my first 4KTV is having the same issue that I saw someone else in the review section have. TLDR; Pros: Picture is crisp and vibrant. Game-mode option under "external devices manager" looks great with my PS4 Pro. Easy UI. Easily mountable. Cons: On two different occasions the past month, the screen has gone black and given me a loading dial for a few seconds, both of which occurred while playing my PS4 Pro. (One occasion occured right during a QTE in my game and made me lose)

No 5 GHZ internet or Bluetooth Connectivity

If I would know all these problems I would upgrade to an 8 series or QLED.

Great TV but serious side angle viewing washout
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We needed to replace our old Samsung UN39FH6000FXZA for our bedroom as it prematurely died. That TV had Samsung's Wide Color Enhancer and the viewing angle and color consistency was top notch. So we went back to our trusted Best Buy partner and decided to upgrade to the NU437100 series. It cost a little more than other Samsung's in stock but we felt it would be worth it in the long run. Well we were wrong. We put the NU7100 in the same corner of our bedroom since we had limited other options. The color washout was terrible and even got worst when the angle viewing increased. We did our home work on this TV and consumer report rated it in the top 10 of 43 in sets. They did mention the viewing angle was an issue but it was far worse than stated. We were obviously disappointed so we went back to Best Buy and explained the situation. They told us we could return it, as expected, so we swapped it out for a new Sony XBR43X800E. Don't get me wrong we love Samsung products but they have limited 43 in options. The new Sony works great and no viewing issues. As a long time customer of Best Buy they came through for us again. We got a lemon and they stood behind us and made it right. Thanks Best Buy.

I chose this TV over because it is 4K the size and I had Samsung which works great. However with this model I'm very disappointed. There is not a lot to like about this TV and I listed it below. Pros: 2018 Samsung 4K TV, Slim & lightweight, 3 HDMI ports Has the Smart TV apps Cons: No bluetooth WIFI 2.4 GHz Speakers are poor sounding, and you can't adjust it by equalizer because it doesn't exist. But you can only adjust it basic Normal, Expanded which I found not good. The most important is Picture quality, It is Average! Background light too bright and Contrast Max is 50. View angle changing color so that not good at all which indicates that this display is cheap and have low quality. This is not an OLED TV display quality suffer at an angle. Overall very disappointed with quality for the price

The TV does have picture mode presets that the customer can change to suit their viewing experience such as Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie. Movie mode is typically preferred for video enthusiast.

Awesome TV!

Big mistake. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $100. BTW: Bestbuy was really great about making the exchange.

Disappointed

Tried all adjustments but picture was either washed out or totally over saturated (in dynamic mode). We have 6 other TV's and some of my older 720p units have better picture quality. Totally makes no sense at that price and with today's technology. Returned and went with the Sony XBR43X800E. $200 more but WOW....what a difference. Not quite as thin but the picture quality is amazing right out of the box.....no need for any adjustments. I have 2 Samsung 4K monitors which are excellent so I am not sure what's going on. The TV is not defective because I went back to the store and the Samsung and Sony were right next to each other and you can see the difference immediately.

I bought this to replace my 2007 Samsung S40510 tv that had excellent picture quality but the screen was recently damaged . I am very happy with the new Samsung functionality and connectivity, but was disappointed that the picture quality was not as good as my old 2007 tv. I was surprised that the picture quality was not better, considering that TV technology has improved over the last 12 years. The new one is a lower priced TV, so maybe that accounts for some of the difference.

Smart TV Functionality Does Not Work

Apps such as Netflix and ESPN stopped working well. They take forever to load anything. And when they do start running, they intermittently freeze up. I have tried resetting the TV. In reading up on this issue, it is common with Samsung Smart TV’s. Go with another brand and save the aggravation. The picture is great but I spent the extra money for the smart functionality which does not work.

Very Poor when viewing from the side angle

However, if you have it in a room such as a kitchen where one person is sitting straight on but another is say cooking and wanting to watch from an angle it is horrible. The screen appears white washed, you can't really see peoples faces and if you think you are going to watch a football game while cooking forget it. I like Samsung products but this one fails from any viewing angle other than straight on.
