Not worth it for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's only unique feature that makes sense is the gaming mode which is the best I've seen so far but other than that a lot of it's features are pretty generic and does the same thing as my xfinity cable. Without requiring internet.

Our Q60 series are powered by Quantum Processor 4K, Quantum HDR 4X, and deliver over a billion shades of color with sharp details, and fine-tuned black level.
Please know that the TV will upscale as best as possible any content sent to it. The closer the signal is to 4K, the better it will look coming out.
It also has several preset picture modes and many custom settings, allowing users to adjust images to their liking.
The Dynamic Mode is our typical store demo mode and is the brightest among all presets.
Standard Mode is ideal for home and everyday viewing.
Movie Mode is the closest setting to calibration the way the director intended as it uses less enhancements and will likely result in the truest picture.
In addition, the quality of the image on your screen depends on the source and the connection.
HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing; and when possible, 4K content will provide the best picture quality.
The quality of the streaming content depends largely on the speed of your internet, as most content providers have adaptive streaming that will automatically adjust the image quality based on the network bandwidth.
Please give us the opportunity to assist you with image quality adjustments tailored to your preferred viewing experience. You can reach us via any of the following options:

Samsung 43" QLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only lasted 18 months and half of the screen is burned out. We have 5 new tv's and this one is the most disappointing. It is used only 60% of the time, so the quality and value are very poor. Will be putting in the garbage and researching to replace

Posted .Jeff,
I am very sorry that your experience with the Q60R TV was less than perfect, and I completely understand your disappointment.
If you have not returned your unit, please try the following troubleshooting tips:
1) Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft. (15.2 m).
2) Minimize interference by turning off other wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (WiFi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)
3) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem.
4) Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > General > Network > Network Status.
The network status test will finish and show the status of your network connection.
If the test concludes that the unit needs service, please contact us via any of the following options:
1) Phone: 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs) Available 8AM - 12AM EST (Mon-Fri) / 9AM - 11PM EST (Sat-Sun)
2) LiveChat: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/#contact_us_for_support

Excellent TV. Wow, impressive. Great apps choice.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My parents needed a replacement for their 40" LCD tv in their bedroom. We are talkin about a 10 year old, 40" tv, LCD, with huge bezel. And the area didnt really fit the 40" all that well. So you would think a 43" would certainly not fit. I assured my dad that the bezels in these new TVs are so thin. And sure enough it fit perfectly into the space thanks to the super thing bezels. I am super impressed by it. The image quality is amazing. The sound reproduction is good enough (probably need a soundbar in the future, but what my parents need, it is fine). The app selection is the full gamut of the Samsung environment. They now include the Comcast App, which works perfect. Almost entirely removes the necessity for the Comcast STB...I say "ALMOST" because it is not entirely similar to the STB experience. The width of this tv is the best feature. I was trying to find a TV that was thin that didn't have a huge back panel for the electronics. Compared to all the budget options from HiSense, TCL and others, Samsung's offering blows the competition away in this department (outside of buying an OLED tv). If you are looking for a thin TV, the QLED models are where its at. My only complaint is the remote. They have completely moved to a super mini remove with very few buttons. I mean I get it, not many people are using their TV's anymore with a QAM tuner, not that many with antenna, wherein the number buttons are really used. But the remote could be a bit more of a, well, remote! Oh well. Do I recommend it? Not reeeeeally. The price point is a little high considering you can get a 43" LED tv from TCL or HiSense for more than half than the QLED, and you will be more than satisfied with the product. But if you want the best image quality without paying the OLED premium, the QLED is it. My dad just wanted a non-Chinese brand, and he loves Samsung tv's so this was the choice.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took back the 40 inch Vizio (which had very poor color) and picked up this TV to replace my Samsung 40 inch that I moved to another room. Wow! Picture color and clarity was important to me, Not a gamer. It went in the den in an ancient built-in (took off the doors to fit the 43"). The tiny remote takes some getting used to, You don't even need a sound bar with this one, the sound is so good, but we got one anyway and it was easy to program everything onto the Comcast remote. Just have the Samsung remote for the Smart Hub and cool screen savers. Very happy with this TV.

Made popping sound and died (3 years old).
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this TV in March 2020 and it died three years later. It had been performing decently but then, one night while watching it, there was a startling popping sound and it completely died. The TV had been installed professionally (with a surge protector) by Magnolia for Best Buy. There was no storm that evening or other usual electrical activity. I called Samsung directly to report, and they offered for me to buy a new, very slightly discounted tv from them to replace it. Very unsatisfying. After the popping noise, I was incredibly nervous that the tv could catch on fire. I was home alone and not able to remove it from the mounting. The entire experience was unsettling. I cannot imagine purchasing a Samsung product ever again. I certainly don't expect a tv to last forever, but three years is not enough. I didn't expect a replacement tv, but would have liked Samsung to offer something for their defective product.
