Remote stopped working

Really disappointed in Samsung for this one. It started really well… everything else is fine. The line is distracting though.

Thank you for choosing Samsung's Q60A and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the line you are seeing on your TV's screen. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps:
1) Check the antenna and input cable connections
2) Check the antenna and HDMI cable connections
3) If the issue persists, define exactly what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, fixed horizontal, or vertical lines
4) Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?
5) Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?
6) If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)
7) If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. Signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception

Bad Pixels Ruin the Purchase

One when the screen is white, a handful when the screen is black. If you purchase this unit, check for bad pixels as soon as you get it. You'll find them as black dots on a white screen, white dots on a black screen.

Perfect for our bedroom

We already had a mini sound bar so I can't speak to the quality of the sound directly from the TV, but the image quality, size and ease of use of Samsung remote/settings make this a great TV option!

Had to return

The remote was not a regular one, only a couple of buttons on it. The menu options was very limited, most of which was grayed out. Very disappointed in Samsung. Returned it and bought a Sony instead, so much more for the money that Samsung.

No Again -No Again

The hardcopy manual was very limited. The connection to my internal provider start with sound issue for u-verse. The same connection with the old tv (Samsung) end with less sound adjustability. The volume level is less the the old device. The sound is restricted when connected on the new device. The remote control was very good for a more nimble mind person.

Thank you for purchasing the Q60A TV and for sharing your connectivity experience. A network issue may be the cause. You may want to go through these steps to check your network connection:
1) Make sure that no items that can generate electromagnetic interferences are placed between the TV and the wireless/wired access point.
2) Check if the access point is turned on. If it is on, turn it off, wait 1 or 2 minutes, and then turn it on. Enter the correct password if required.
3) If the wireless connection fails, connect the TV to the access point via a LAN cable. If the TV can connect to the Internet normally via the wired connection, there might be a problem with the access point. In this case, try using a different access point.
4) Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem. Press the Home button on your remote. Navigate to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test
5) Try a cold reboot of your TV by pressing and holding the power button for 5+ seconds until the TV turns off and on again.
6) Please also be sure you have the latest firmware update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.

Missing Mounting Screws

Had to return TV and get replacement, still missing mount screws. Would have save an entire trip and headache if they could state that "mounting screws are no longer provided."

You can select the Picture Mode that provides the best viewing experience. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine tune your image.
