Thank you for your feedback on the TU690T TV. The motion smoothing features eliminates ghosting and blurring that occurs from fast-moving images. On Samsung TVs, these are known as Auto Motion Plus or Picture Clarity. These motion smoothing settings look great on live tvs, like sporting events or parades, which are filmed at 30 frames per second. Most movies, however, are filmed at 24 frames per second and are not intended to be viewed with these features. When turned on, this causes the dreaded soap opera effect.
To change this setting, go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus Settings (Picture Clarity Settings).

I always buy Samsung because the tv stations come on first and then apps if/when you want them. I don't like the smart tvs that make you start on the apps menu every time they are powered on. Great picture! Smooth internet connection! Would buy again.

Not happy with all the apps (including Alexa) that are pre-loaded...let me put my own apps on. Also, I had to pledge my firstborn to get thru the setup and it was exasperating! If I want to share ALL the information that LG setup asks for, pay me.

Still working to figure out how to get favorite apps on home screen. The size is perfect for our bedroom. Good quality for the price.

Have enjoyed the streaming channels on Samsung TV Plus. With an indoor antenna and the available apps, I have almost all of the channels I need and the picture quality is as good as I get with cable, much better than SD.
