    I am a dedicated Samsung consumer. I have everything Samasung, from phone to fridge. Their products are well made and last through heavy use. I am disabled and have periods of bedridden pain and weakness, so I tend to watch a lot of TV. Our Samsungs have lasted for many, many years.

    Samsung TVs I’ve bought always have some sort of issue, like the video capacitors being too small and bursting. This one is nice, great picture and nice features but it flickers when on the FiOS STB. The hdmi cables were upgraded to support 4K. Makes no sense. I don’t see myself buying another Samsung product. Stick with Sony. Or LG if you want a less expensive option.

      We appreciate you sharing the issues you’re experiencing when connecting your TU690T TV to your FIOS cable box. I have a few troubleshooting suggestions for you to try.

      Please go to the Connection Guide for details: Source > Connection Guide.

      Make sure that your external device is connected securely and turned on. Move to Sources to switch to other input sources: Source > Sources.

      Using HDMI Troubleshooting, you can check the connection to the HDMI cable and external devices (it takes approx. 2 minutes). Source > Connection Guide > Video Device > HDMI Troubleshooting.

    TV works well, different than my other Samsungs which I had to learn (apps) and the remote is very slender which for me makes it a bit more difficult for me. TV itself is great. Good color, clarity and price.
