    This smart tv has a great picture head on but if you’re sitting to the side it looks washed out. Also I’ve been unable to stream PBS.

      Thanks for your purchase and for letting us know you are enjoying your new TU690T TV. Please know that you can adjust a few picture settings, which may improve your experience.

      To adjust your Picture Settings, go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:

      1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
      2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
      3) Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
      4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
      5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

      You can also go to Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.

      If all of your local channels are not showing up, I recommend rescanning your local channels. To do so, go to Home, Source, and then select TV.

      Next, go to Settings> Broadcasting> Auto Program> Start.

    Great value for the money. Great TV for the kids! Not much more than some older and nom 4k tvs

    Picture freezes and makes loud sound

    I purchased in Mid-January 2023. 20 days later, the TV picture would freeze and make a very irritating sound after about 1 to 2 hours of operation. About 15 to 20 seconds of the loud sound, the TV would restart to the home screen. Of course Best Buy has a 14 day window to return. Missed it by 5 days. Very disappointing being out $280.00. It is basically worthless.

    NO streaming!!!

    Only after i bought this tv and set it up with all the streaming apps (which have icons on the tv) did i find out that this tv will not accept 3rd party app streaming. All I get is the buffering circle going around and around. It is a worthless tv if you stream.

      Thank you for your purchase and feedback on the TU690T TV. Please know that your TV has a built-in app store with hundreds of apps available for download, which we frequently update with new apps. To search and download these apps, go to Home> Apps> Then search the app store.

      I also recommend enabling auto updates on the Firmware, so you do not miss any new software updates. Go to Home> Settings> Support> Software Update> Auto Update> Enable.

    BEWARE SERIOUS VOLUME PROBLEMS

    The television always had a volume issue regarding having to raise the volume bar to receive normal sound but now experiencing no sound then it comes back. This happens daily.

    While Samsung is a great product, I found the picture it was not as clear as my old TV. So I went back and bought an LG and returned the Samsung.
