Upgraded from a much older Samsung that had limited smart tv channels, to this which gets just about everything. Nice not having to use a separate Roku attachment.
It took a lot of playing around to get the picture to my liking. It came out of the box kind of dull and not nearly as bright as the 1080 HD it replaced. I expected 4K to be a much better picture, but it was not initially. I would say that I got it to equal the picture quality of the replaced tv, but certainly not better than.
The sound is great and the volume is fine at very low settings. I imagine it could be turned up super loud with no distortion, but have not had any need to test that out.
The menus on the screen are a bit confusing and it takes more time than I would like to get to a particular smart tv channel. For example, you first have to go to apps, then scroll down to the list, and then go through them to get to the one you want to watch. I was able to figure out how to set the tv to go right to HDMI that has my cable box every time I turn the tv on, regardless of what I was watching last. That helps a bit.
Finally, the new remote that came with this tv is much simpler than the old remote. It doesn't have the numbers so you cannot key in a channel and have to use the remote from the cable box. Also, there is an option to use voice on the tv, but the remote does not have a voice function.
But for the price, I guess maybe I was expecting too much. This is a fine basic low priced tv that should satisfy anyone's basic viewing needs. There are 3 HDMI ports which is also a plus, but no RCA jacks to plug in an old VCR or older DVD. I had assumed the cable input that takes coax would allow me to plug in the vcr,dvd player that way, but it didn't work. I had to use a newer blueray player that has HDMI in order to play DVDs. VHS will have to be used on an older tv.
But like I said, for the price you can't go wrong. However, if you are looking for added features, I suggest doing a comparison with other models to make sure you get what you want.

Love this TV - light weight and easy for me a senior woman to handle. Easy setup for someone not so techy! Great picture plus both young men I dealt with at Best Buy took the time to explain everything to me so I felt comfortable with the purchase

Great TV right out of the box. Easy set up with new TV remote and our old cable box remote. The stand was easy to install and the TV is lightweight to place anywhere. Picture quality is fantastic. Sound quality and levels were not the best but acceptable.

Got this a little after Christmas to replace an aging computer monitor. Note I'm NOT using it as a TV, but as a replacement for a monitor. So far, connecting to my computer was a no brainer and it's been able to keep up with my productivity apps and light gaming (Xbox for PC - Forza Horizon 5 looks and plays fantastic). Sound was clear from the TV when I tried it, though I primary use sound from computer speakers. Good value, TV size perfect for my setup.

Good color, nice menus, lightweight, audio is good. To offer critical information the screen is not as bright as I am used to. That could be because computer screens are very bright, more so than TV screens. It's adequate in all but dark movie scenes. Good for the price we paid. We won't spend thousands on tv.

Great picture, easy to setup and easy to navigate! I would recommend this TV to someone else. My dad, who is 80, had a hard time with his Vizio TV because the wi-fi screen would pop up every time he turned the TV on. He doesn't have wi-fi so we tried to find a way to skip that part, but there was no option for that. This Samsung TV was so simple to set up an anntenae and to setup a univerisal remote that it put a huge smile on his face. In turn, that put a huge smile on my face. In addition, he doesn't even need to press any other options on the remote to watch TV. He simply turns it on and after a minute the regular TV stations goes from the smaller screen to the bigger screen. Yeah!

The television it self is great, i really like the picture and ease of movement between features, i ,on the other hand, really don't like the remote control. Its just not easy to get used to

It was very easy to set up. The extra channels both free and subscription cover everything I could ever want to watch. The picture is amazing, everything looks like 3D. This is my first 4K Smart tv and so far it is very very good! I made a great decision to purchase this TV and the price was incredibly reasonable.

Wanted to upgrade a smaller monitor in our secondary media room which won't accommodate a larger monitor and this set filled the bill. Easy to set and hook up. Picture and sound quality are great.

I bought the Samsung 8000HF 43” a few weeks ago and I’m very happy with it so far. The picture is sharp, colors are bright, and streaming apps run smoothly. It was easy to set up and the design is slim and lightweight.
The downsides: black levels aren’t the best and HDR isn’t very strong, so movies in dark rooms don’t look as good as they could. The remote is also small with tiny buttons, which takes some getting used to.
Overall though, for everyday watching—shows, sports, and casual gaming—it’s an excellent TV for the price.

We have 3 other Samsung 43" TVs and we like them. We've had them for several years and they are holding up. This TV has a slightly better picture, but haven't had it but a few months. Our only complaint so far is the remote. Its not very intuitive and prefer the old style.

Had to replace our current TV as wasn't turning on. Have another Samsung Smart TV so bought another in a different size. Fits perfectly and very sharp picture. Easy to set up.

This TV have some pretty good features. The one thing that could be improved is the remote control and the instruction sheet. The remote is very narrow and take a little time to get accustom to. The instruction sheet should be in bold black print. You need a magnifying glass to read it. The picture quality is very good.
