The TV is extremely clear and is easy to setup. Great picture

It's been a great TV, real value. The picture is clear and everything seems to be working properly. The only downside that we have discovered so far is that the sound is not very good. It's rather "tinny" and lacking depth. We had an external sound system from our previous TV but the only "audio in" is digital audio and this is older so it is not compatible. Going to invest in a newer sound bar.

I bought this TV as a replacement for an older 32" that I let my daughter take to college with her. I can't believe how much better the picture and sound are than my old unit. I didn't even bother to hook up my old sound bar. Set the sound to "movie mode" and I'm loving it.

Bought this television for our family room to replace a 37" Panasonic television. This television fits our needs in a television. We were looking for a basic television and from the reviews we had read it fit the bill.

Great picture and easy to operate. Good value for the price

Did research before going in for the kill on this tv: read the reviews and compared prices across a few online retailers. Just needed a tv that could deliver a decent picture during movie nights and offer a bigger screen than the 22" Samsung I've had for the last 10 years (still going strong, btw). So far, this one's proved a good investment: easy set-up and plays beautifully without a fuss. Doesn't have smart features as described, but definitely not a con since I have the gadgetry to compliment it. If all you need is a big tv to watch/stream movies and play games, this will do just fine.

Good picture, easy set up, would recommend to others.

Know that this is a base model. Not a lot of features. No smart TV. Only two HDMI inputs and the ONLY audio out is an optical out. This is what suited my needs best. With a Tivo and Apple TV two HDMI ins are all I need. The picture is great. Built in sound is fine, but I'll be linking it to an amp for even better sound. All in all for $400 a 50" class tv is an amazing value.

Easy simple setup. Excellent picture. 95 year old mother in law likes the remote, large readable buttons. Set up using cable, no box, and like the fact local HD channels are automatically tuned to ( ex HD channel 9.1 comes up when you press 9) Decent sound

Fantastic TV. Clear picture and very easy to set up

This purchase was a Christmas present for my Mother. She is not very knowledgeable in the world of electronics so we were looking for something easy to hook up and use but still high quality with good options. This TV was it. Great price and very easy to set up. She has been using it for a month now and loves it.

Then picture is very clear, good resolution, clear, no distortion. Responds quickly to controls. Sound is clear and easy to adjust. Adjusts automatically to ambient light conditions, e.g., sun light, evening lights in room. Presentation of unit is efficient, and easy to move if needed. Overall an excellent unit.

I purchased this tv based on other reviews and the picture quality. I like the tv, my only complaint is that it could use one more HDMI port and the sound is sometimes quiet when operating in modes other than tv (such as Roku or BluRay).

The TV does everything I need it to do. It is not a smart TV, but I have a Roku and that gives me access to everything I want to watch. Setup was simple, it paired with my Comcast remote easily, and he picture is fine. Speakers aren't that great, but it hooked up to my stereo with the optical cable using an optical-to-RCA adapter. No complaints so far.

Easy out of the box set up. Beautiful clear and bright picture. If your looking for a great tv at a reasonable price this Samsung is the one to buy and Best Buy is the place to get it.
