Have had numerous functional problems but still uncertain whether it is related to the TV or the satellite service or other.

This is an amazing television. Extremely clear picture and no noticeable motion blur, even though it has 60 Hz refresh rate. Perfect TV for someone who already owns a streaming device like Roku or Apple TV. I own an Apple TV and was pleasantly surprised by how well the two products worked together. I would definitely recommend this television. If you already own a streaming device do not spend the extra $100.00+ to buy a smart TV of the same size. This TV is the perfect compliment to your streaming device and has excellent picture, decent sound, and top of the line design. Frame is thin and screen is beautifully designed with very thin bezel (border around the screen).

I was in the market to replace my 8 year old Sanyo 42" LCD and originally purchased the Toshiba 43 " LED. Got it home and set it up. The TV was too small for my bedroom. Returned it and did some further research and found this Samsung 48" on sale. Purchased it online during Black Friday. All I can say is wow!!! I am so glad I purchased this TV!!! Fits perfectly in my bedroom and setup was a breeze. The picture quality is outstanding and the sound is good. I have always wanted a Samsung TV since I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. Samsung makes a quality product. If you are looking for a great deal and an upgrade, then I would recommend this TV.

Purchase at Best Buy Whitehall PA. Great staff. Helpful without being pushy. Pros- Easy to attach stand Easy to set up lightweight- one person can carry the box affordable quality. If you don't need 4k or a smart TV, you just can't beat Samsung's models. Cons- only one so far, and it's not really a Samsung issue. Our Directv remote RC66 could be programmed to control TV volume and input, but NOT power. You may need to use 2 remotes to watch satellite TV with this model. Volume is not an issue. Picture is fantastic. set up in a mid-size room about 8 ft from viewers.

This TV which replaces our original is not even close to the quality of our LG. Picture quality is poor. Controls are inferior. impossible to adjust. You should have sent us a new LG of the same quality!! This TV stinks!!

    Good buy for a 48 1080

I recently opted to snag this up after Black Friday to replace an aging CCFL back-lit 40" Samsung unit that had a good 7 years on it and many many hours. While I was able to get color and brightness pretty well balanced, the size bump from a 40 to 48, and the fact that we only sit about 8 feet from the screen left it a little pixelated. If we were sitting further back the TV would have been fine for our needs, but we also picked up a 48" 4k Samsung set as well, and found at it was a better fit for sitting so close, and took this one back. Most people think that big is better, but distance also matters. Do your homework and match the size with your seating distance before going all out on a 50 or 60" Tv. We found the picture much better then our old CCFL set, and bright and sharp as it should have been. If not for the distance issue we would have kept this TV. My only major gripe is that it only has 3 HD inputs. 2 HDMI, and 1 Component video. Every TV at this size range should offer a minimum of 3 HDMI. My older 40" had 3 HDMI, 2 Components, 2 Composite. Looks like a cost cutting measure to run the price down some for the average consumer.

Sound randomly goes off or freezes at the current level. Have contacted Samsung and reset as they recommended. Still doesn't work. I will probably have to return it to Best Buy.

I exchanged an Insignia 48" for this one. This television worked great right out of the box. Very clear picture, sturdy base, easy set-up. I have read some other reviews that thought the sound was poor, no issues with the sound. I would have no reservations of recommending this model to someone.

Don't let the price fool you...it's a great HDTV!

With a lot of HDTVs kicking around out there with lower-than-low price points, you'd think that this one may be among those where quality was sacrificed for price. I'm pleased to say that this is definitely NOT the case with this HDTV. I bought this during the pre-Black Friday sale in 2015 for less than $400 and it's some of the best money spent. This one was an upgrade for an older LG 42" 720p HDTV (that LG is still working, too) and it now sits in our home theater room to deliver a flawless picture. We don't use its speakers (our sound is delivered by an Onkyo TX-NR747) but it's working extremely well on Blu-rays and upconverted DVDs. The configuration settings are good enough to perform a professional picture calibration (not all of the new HDTVs have this), so this unit's abilities really shine. This one comes highly recommended.

Samsung to me has always been the best TV brand in the business. They just have awesome picture quality. I have a Samsung 4K UHD 55" in my living room and I love it. I just bought this 48" for my room. This TV is not a smart TV so be sure you are aware of that. I have no complaints with it, I hooked up my Apple TV to it so that's why I didn't want a smart TV. For the price and size, this TV is most definitely an excellent buy.

This is a great TV. My wife and I just upgraded from a 32' Samsung LED TV to this 48'. If you don't need the smart tv features, I highly recommend this unit. We also purchased a Samsung sound bar with it; I'm glad we did (the bar enhances the experience a lot) that's the only downfall if any with this TV; is the sound is average. Get the Samsung sound bar also; it's so worth it. You won't be disappointed it has a great picture and it's a great value!!! Easy set up too!

    Amazing LED for the $$$

Classy design - stand adds to the streamlined look. Clear picture. Stand seems a bit wobbly so recommend placing TV in a safe place and/or securing it down somehow. Sounds is not great but I paired this with the Samsung 400 Series HW-J450/ZA soundbar (which has a wireless subwoofer) and sound now comes through loud and clear. Definitely worth the price!
