Good but disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Samsung TVs. They are mostly reliable and interact nicely with other Samsung products. I had a Samsung 46 inch Smart TV and had a few apps on my phone that allowed me to connect to the TV via WiFi. I was able to send videos from YouTube or my Photos/Videos to the TV. My favorite app was myTiFi remote. I didn't need to look for the TV remote because I always had it with me on my phone. It came in handy when the kids wouldn't turn the TV off and I didn't feel like wrestling them for the remote. So when I purchased this 48 inch Smart TV I thought I would be able to use my apps with it. But I was wrong. This model does not have the ability to receive Info from my phone via WiFi. I can't use the remote or other apps to send video to my TV. In my research for a new Samsung TV I didn't know I had to research this feature. I was disappointed that this TV is not capable to perform those tasks. Why have some TV'a with this ability but not others? It doesn't make sense to me. It is 2016 and my older, smaller Smart TV has this ability. I was very disappointed. That is why this TV gets 2 stars for lack of technical features. Otherwise, great picture and I like the ease of use of the apps in the Smart Hub. If you don't mind not connecting to your TV via your phone then I recommend this TV. However, UHD TV prices are coming down. You may want to look into those as the technology market continues to offer more enhanced products.

Good TV

The TV is a great upgrade and has fantastic picture quality. It has plenty of Smart TV features if you're into that sort of thing. The nicest surprise is that the TVs native speaker volume and quality is pretty good and does not require a sound bar or separate speakers as I was expecting. Overall good TV and I'll probably make my next TV purchase a Samsung as well
