I purchased my tv thru an online sale and I have had it for almost 2 weeks now. So far it has worked great, I love the smart tv features and picture looks good. The only thing is I wish it had the spotify app included. Other than that I am satisfied with this purchase.

Great picture, operates my 6 yr old Samsung sound system except opening closing the DVD door! Only negative is their agreement to allow 3rd party access to my data, who are they? And have to aim remote just right to make it change channels.

Took advantage of a promotion and purchased this 48' tv for $350. I like the 'smart' feature, you can cast video from your phone, no need to buy a separate chromecast device. Menu navigation within apps with the remote is not easy, though. Overall great value.

    1. My son was over and said the tv did not look like hdtv. I said to him that when the basketball players are moving fast sometimes they look fussy, but they are moving slower or a commercial comes on thre screan appears high def. 2. For the hearing impaired, i have a Cochlear implant / so i like to see the words incase i miss something. I purchased the tv based on the fsct that the remote has a closed cap button. I set the tv up and pessed the button. No closed caption. I read info online. No one seemed clear to me at that time. I called Samsung. They said the problem was not with the tv but with the cable box. I called the cable company. They took me thru a couple sessions which I did not understand. I called samsung acouple more times. The last time the representative hung up on me / left mr on hold. I went back to the store and asked the guy I who i purchased the tv from if he could help me with the closed caption setup. He said he did not know anything about it. In the meantime, I had also purchased a sound bar from another sales guy because I had read that the Dolby system decompresses the cable signal for better HDTV experience. This guy said that the hd cable decompresses the picture only for better viewing and that the sound bar has a dolby system to decompress the sound for better listening. Now back to the closed cap setup: I had considered returning the tv and going elsewhere to buy a 48" HDTV / forget about smart tv. Because I already have two more smaller flat screrns that when I press the closed caption button on the remote control the cc comes on and when i do not want the cc, i press the cc button and it goes off. Next, I did a series of test with my tvs. And I found that I had hdtvs but i was using coaxle cable to transmitt the picture and sound from the cable box / set top box to the tv. So, I hooked the hdtv/smart tv cable box up to this samsung 48", and got picture & closed caption but no sound. I then tried a coaxle cable box snd got picture and sound. I went back to the store best buy, to buy a coaxle cable to hook up to the tv incase I wantef the closed cap. This time I asked a Brother if he could help me select a coaxle cable sothat i could make the cc work. He was very helpful professional and informative. He asked which type of cable company remote control I had. I pointed the one out (there were 3 on display). He said to press the xfinity button and when set up comes up press closed caption. He nicely demonstrated the setup with a tv. He explained to me that this works with the hdmi cable so i won't lose picture quality and I also get sound. He knew his product. So the cc is basically on the top or bottom of the screen and does not interfere with the picture. So i also have my smart tv features netfliks& youtube, dvd, and sound bar

This is my first smart TV and I was impressed how easy it was to set up. Also, the picture is great and I trust Samsung for value across their TV line. Sales Associate at Best Buy also recommended this unit.

This is a very good buy for the money. You can't beat the price. The picture is very good. The sound is good although it could be better. That said, I've had good luck with Samsung tv's. I'd buy this again.

The TV works well, easy set up, super sturdy stand! Got this for my husband to use with his computer as a monitor. The picture is great and doesn't project bright light across the house like his 40 inch monitor used to.

Couldn't be happier with the TV. I bought it for a living room someday, but it currently looks huge in my bedroom. Has a great picture, and definitely happy I got a smart TV. I like being able o play videos from it.

This is my third Samsung flat panel. The first one was a 32 inch with florescent back-light - that set served me very well for over 7 years - bought a LED 32 inch two years ago. This set came up on Black Friday for a very reasonable price so since I wanted something bigger - I bought it. No regrets! Color is very crisp, black is very black - I loved my first two and this is better than either of them. Blue Ray disks look awesome on this set. Being very High Definition it is clear from all angles in my living room. I sold my first Samsung after 7 years to someone and they are still using it - the LED 32 inch is in our bedroom. For my money you can't beat Samsung for quality and performance.

Good size and picture quality for the money. Quirks I dislike: 1. When I turn the TV on and select Netflix, Amazon, etc., the TV says "Preparing Your TV" and takes about 5 minutes(!) before it connects to anything. My router is literally touching the TV, so signal is not a problem. 2. Until you click the Smart TV icon, the TV has a fuzzy static screen, black with rapidly flicking dots; it is extremely unpleasant, though silent. 3. The remote control works, but is not that comfortable to use because the buttons are soft...too hard to push and get a result. But...the price is right and it is fun to have a huge TV.

    Samsung 48" smart TV 1080p

Got this as a add on when purchased my Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge phone for $250. Not bad since it still retailed for around $470. Smart TV, 1080p, 2 HDMI in, 3.5 stereo jack audio out, SPDIF optical out, composite, stereo in RCA standard inputs. The network wired/wireless interface on this model is slow, my standard tested internet speed on the very same ethernet cable on a laptop was 60 Mbs down/10 Mbs up, but on this TV is 8 MBs down, 3 MBs up. good enough to generate a decent channel guide for off air reception. Found 32 off air channels in my area and they all look crystal clear. The auto dim function for ambient room lighting works well. Good guest bedroom TV. Audio is actual better then I expected in a 20x 20 bedroom. In conclusion, internet? don't bother, smart? not so much, good picture and sound? yes and yes.

I bought this Samsung 48" for my Den (TV & Desktop Computer media room) and the best wall for it had a lot of stuff on it, so I knew a 60" was not going to work. So I went to Best Buy looking for a 50". I got this 48" for $200 less (with the exact same features) as the 50". Another awesome TV by Samsung. I have a 40", 48" and 60". I feel that Samsung has the best image quality of all HDTVs. I was a loyal Sony Bravia user for many years, but I am a die-hard Samsung man now. Amazing TV for a very low price. I have no desire for Ultra HD, so 1080p is all I need. The Samsung LED Smart HDTV is truly the best (quality) bang for your buck. Most highly recommended!!!

Pros: Video Quality(1080p),Sound Quality(Don't have to buy sound system right away), Wifi connectivity to smart devices, Apps(few but all need) Cons: Browser(slow better off connecting phone to tv and using phone), Fairly Short AC( for me anyway) TV fairs well for me able to connect to it with my smart phone really helped out way the con of the browser on the TV and used my phone to play my cable tv and watch movies i purchased on my phone until i was able to get new box for the TV. I watch live streaming and the YouTube app on the TV made that possible but seem to sometimes have errors when you let music videos play on forever but good nonetheless. Bought the Samsung - 400 Series 2.1-Channel Soundbar with 6.5 Wireless Active Subwoofer - Black with this TV good paired together if you looking for more sound

Set up was easy and quick. The picture is clean and clear. It connected with my cable system quickly with no problems. The only issue I had was that there are few instructions so I had to try various things to get used to the TV.
