We purchased (3) 65" Samsung TV's during Black Friday 2015. We had only unboxed one as we were wating for a new home to be completed. We returned to Bestbuy this past Black Friday and purchased (2) 55" Samsung Tv's. While waiting for that delivery Samsung updated tier software and rendered the one TV that was unboxed useless. After five telephone calls and over 30 hours with tech support, they decided we needed a new smart hub and that it would take 5-10 business days to get it. So we were left to wait and thankfully had our old reliable Sony Bravia to use in the meantime. A week later, a thumb drive arrives and no smart hub. We called Samsung and were told they were not sending a smart hub, will never send a smart hub. The tech refused to transfer us to someone who could help and insisted we go through all of the trouble shooting once again because "he was not the one to troubleshoot it the first time". After 3 hours of trouble shooting, he said he'd transfer us to a supervisor. We then sat on hold for 31/2 hours before the call was dropped by Samsung. We called back again and could not even get a tech to answer, despite it being during their normal hours of operation. We then resorted to calling Best Buy for help and were told "sorry, you didn't purchase the "Geek Squad" warrenty. First off, the same thing happened to our TV when we first got it. Thankfully it was within the first 30 days, because Best Buy had to swap it out although we did not get the replacement until a few weeks later as they were out of stock. We did purchase a warranty from a 3rd party vender who actually stepped up to call Samsung with us, although their policy says that while the product is under manufacturer warranty that we have to go through them first. During that call, we spent another 3 hours with Samsung technicians who again refused to send the new smart hub because it was now a known issue that resulted from their software upgrade push. There was reportedly no lnown fix for it at that point in time either. After many threats of legal action, the technician finally transferred us to someone who could get the hub ordered for us. We asked if they could expedite the part as we had now been without the TV for 2 weeks and were told they did not have the authority to do so. The part finally arrived 20 days later! Because of this ordeal and Best Buy's refusual to stand behind the product that was still under warranty, we returned the (2) 55" TV's as well as the (4) nests, (2) Samsung Blu Ray players, Doorbell, reciever, sound bar, and speakers that we purchased at Bestbuy. We felt that they, nor Samsung did not deserve our business.

Superb picture quality but remote control problems

Terrible, TV switching off to on by itself

I call Samsung to report the issue, we stayed over the phone about an hour and the TV is still doing the same thing. Samsung then shipped to me a software into a USB flash saying it may be a software update issue, but still it has not fixed the issue. Ready to return the item

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As I pointed out in my initial review the picture quality on this 2160p LED 4K Samsung TV is no better than that on my eight year old Sharp 720p LCD TV. I was expecting a much clearer picture for watching sports but this was not the case. Turning off the eco sensor helped a very little bit but the clarity is just not there.

Defective control box

Did the troubleshooting with Samsung and they decided that the box was defective. Then proceeded to tell me that it would be 7 to 10 days for the replacement would arrive. Best Buy however honored their replacement policy and would have replaced the defective unit but I chose to purchase a different TV. Best Buy was great to work with, Samsung not so much, really disappointing.

It's ok.

It sounds like this might be due to the ECO Sensor or Motion Lighting features, as they automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV in response to ambient light level and on-screen movements to reduce power consumption.
To control these features, please go to Home > Settings > System > Eco Solution
You can select Min. Backlight to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness.

Wonderful TV for an HDR upgrade

My Sharp was a 4K but a fairly inexpensive lower end model. This Samsung makes an astronomical difference. I purchased this as an open box because I know we check all our products thoroughly before re-selling and I like the small price drop afforded from it. The picture on this TV is amazing. It's night and day compared to my previous TV. I don't have much to take advantage of the HDR for now (besides the built in Netflix) but the TV alone has a beautiful picture. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the remote can even control my Xbox One as if it was a universal remote. Doesn't do the same for my PS4 but I can't expect all the companies to be represented. All in all amazing TV highly recommended to anyone for any reason.
