    It disconnects from. The wifi alot and will not connect back. Its not my wifi cause my other TV is working. I shut it off and it comes back on.

    This TV has been a bummer. It changes channel, turns off and all on it's own. I thought it needed a software update, but that option isn't available to use so I assume it thinks it doesn't need one. If you have a power outage it loses the login credentials for some of the streaming channels. All in all a disappointment. This is the third Samsung TV we have and have always liked them till now.

    I was so excited when I bought this today. I got it home, hooked it up and the screen never came on. Googled fixes and nothing worked. Was talking to a live Samsung representative and he told me to return it and it sounds like the mother board is fried. I have never had a problem with Best Buy before. After doing some investigating online by checking stock I found out this was the only one at Compton and it seemed like it was a display. This is going back first thing in the morning. I really feel that I can no longer Trust Best buy !!!

    I previously had a Samsung 1080p tv and never had any issues with it in 5+ years. THIS TV is another story! I’ve had it for less than two months and have had nothing but problems. This TV has constant wifi connectivity issues. You go into network settings and it shows as connected but won’t load anything from ANY app. When you google it it is a common problem with Samsung 4K TVs. Another common problem is that out of nowhere the volume button on the remote stops working. I even tried downloading the app on my phone that lets you control the tv. Same thing. Let’s you do everything but adjust the volume. I researched the solution and you have to let the tv warm up 5 minutes and then unplug tv for 10 minutes (power cycle). I have to do this BS every time this happens. These issues are unacceptable from a brand new TV and these are known and common issues. This is the 8 series so it wasn’t cheap either. I’ve decided to never purchase another Samsung product. I’m just fed up at this point.

    Color going out after 6 months

    I really like the features of this TV. However, after 6 months the color began to go out. When watching the TV apps, color turns to purple or blue. Only way to fix is to unplug power and plug back in. Maybe I just got the bad one. If you buy this TV, make sure you get the warranty.

    We had to return the Samsung 49-inch TV, LED 8 Series 2160p Smart 4K UHD TV with HDR. The TV kept turning itself off (no other Samsung remotes in the house). Also - we use an over the air antenna to get local channels. After scanning channels, the TV wouldn’t keep the channels stored and we would have to daily rescan channels. We bought an LG TV and it performs flawlessly in the same setting.

    I would not buy this brand again and did poor research before buying. They really need to open up the app support and I will most likely circumvent the "smart" capabilities with Amazon or firestick.

    bought 11 tvs 2v broken needed replaced but refunded , cost 200.00 more to replace them not happy will not do business again

    youtubetv app on this Samsung TV doesn't work

    The YouTubeTV app on this tv continues to have trouble loading. I tried to reinstall the app several times, with no luck. Finally, I had to buy another Amazon FireTV stick and add it to this tv to get YouTubeTV to work all the time. And this is a smart tv? Apparently this is a very well known issue, but Samsung has yet to fix it. This is my last Samsung tv.

      Have you tried the brightness setting adjustment?
      Go to Home> Settings> Picture> Expert Settings> Brightness

      We also recommend you to check if Power Saving Mode has been enabled.
      Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.

    The tv would not go down in volume past 99 it would stay at ether 99 or 100 and the remote was still working but the volume just wouldn't go down.

    They set it for home use at store but it will not allow activation nor will it allow us to get to settings. It does not function well at all. I can cast to it through Chrome device attached but that’s it!

      I am very sorry to see that your screen exhibited damage upon opening and setup. Unfortunately, even if a TV is double-boxed and the packaging shows no evidence of harm, a TV can still be damaged during transit if proper care is not taken. For example, if the TV were sitting in an incorrect orientation -- laid on its side or tilted -- during transit, damage could have been done.

    I purchased this TV as an open box and was defective upon delivery. I returned TV and exchanged it for a Samsung class - 7.
