Spring 2018; I had not purchased a television in over 10 years and we knew that picture quality and smart tvs would convince a purchase once we visited Best Buy. We decided on the Samsung because of the better motion viewing and the confidence of the associate that it would be easy to use vs the other Sony option we were comparing. Upon opening the box,the first thing we noticed was that it had a beautiful remote with a comfortable feel. We did not need any directions because the system easily walked us through the setup. Everything worked great. The only major change in setting we had to look up was to shut of the auto dimming at night. Dark scenes were almost not viewable until we shut that setting off. Now we have an amazing picture day or night. It is worth the dollars getting this version verses other 4k tvs. A week later we purchased a Sony Bravia from a friend and installed it in our basement room. I know the Sony is over a year older but the Samsung has the ease us use down (it took me too long fo change one setting on the Sony) Our 5 year old can work the Samsung without any training.

The one I purchased had a defect. It had a small white dot on lower left hand corner of screen. It was a great television, other than the defect. Loved the smart features, the remote was neat, and the picture was nice. I returned it and got a higher end, Sony.

This was a replacement for a TV that was fried in a lightning strike. I bought it because it was similar, but with better features, to another Samsung I have. This one is fantastic! It has a beautiful picture, all the Smart TV functions, and most web services built in. I only have OTA (antenna) TV plus the web services and all work perfectly. The remote is a bit strange with only a few buttons, but after you figure it out it has all the features of any other remote. I bought a second, "Samsung" remote from BB for $35, and now my wife and I have remotes we can use from our sides of the bed.

I had a Samsung TV that I purchased 10 years ago so I thought it was time to replace it. I really don't need a T.V. that covers my wall. The last set was 39" so going to a 49" was a 25.6% jump and its plenty. My couch is only about 8 to 10 feet away so I see a lot of detail. My old set was 1080. I'd say that the difference between my old picture and new one is is the increase in clarity and smoothness of motion. Both are excellent. The instructions to unpack it were very helpful. READ THEM! Setting up the set itself was a no brainer. These sets are easy to deal with. Out of the box there were absolutely no problems. It detected my wireless and I connected easily. The remote connected with my sound bar (Samsung) instantly. I own another TV, a tablet and a cell phone all made by Samsung. They just make great products that are reasonably priced! I'd comment on their warranty service and service departments but I've never had to use them. Everything I ever bought from Samsung is still working.

Easy to use. Great picture. Colors jump out at you & everything is so clear. Best viewing I've ever had for home usage. Highly recommend this product!

The 49" was perfect size for my space, but what sold me on the Samsung was the HDR color. I typically watch in a dark room and the Samsung produces a nice true black. Just an beautiful picture. The remote working with every other device was a pleasant bonus for me.

Great TV. Great price. Easy set-up. Beautiful picture. Use HDMI not coaxial. Fixed the so-so sound with a Samsung sound bar.

We went in to look and compare TV's. We talked to a product technician named Cross. Wow, he was very helpful and knowledgeable of every tv we were considering. We ended up purchasing the Samsung 49' MU7000 with HDR. This tv is really nice. The pic quality, responsiveness and ease of use is very good. The web browser, which uses Tizen OS, is better than I expected even though I do prefer Android.

I did my research online and then went into the store. The initial TV I was looking for was not available. I started to ask a few more questions and stumbled on this TV. It was the best decision. It was bigger than what I wanted, but is truly one of the best investments. Everything is crystal clear and the fact that apps for things I use frequently are at my fingertips seals the deal. I highly recommend this TV. It’s plug and play and easy to use.

In an effort to improve our viewing experience we wanted to go big or go home! As a tech connesuier I appreciate the added capabilities of 4K, Smart technology and a larger screen. Although it took her a few days to notice, my partner said “Did you get a new TV, I can see it without my glasses?” The remote control that you speak to simplifies the process of finding what you want to watch. Overall this is a great product. I highly recommend it!

This HDR 4K TV was the best price I have for a TV this size. It's easy to set-up and looks terrific.

I bought this TV as a second set for my basement game room. Immediately after getting it out of the box I noticed how sleek it was. I mainly purchased this set for the HDR functions and I have to say I am impressed. There is more than enough inputs on this set for just about anything you could need. I would definitely recommend this product.

This TV is amazing! Picture is amazing. When i was shopping for a new tv i wanted a tv that was 4K and had HDR. This was on sale about $150 off the regular price. Thats when I knew I had to buy it! Tv was easy to set up and has all the smart features you could want in a 4K tv. I didnt want to spend a lot of money on a new 4K tv and this one was perfect for the price and the features I wanted. I would highly recommed buying this tv since it has 4k and HDR. I hooked this up to my Xbox one S and even though that doesnt play video games in 4K it still looks amazing. Also regular Tv looks so much more crisp and clear. This tv will def last 10 years or more! Glad I bought this tv and have no regrets. The salesman was nice but I knew more about it then he did.

Picture is great quality! Voice remote is a nice touch. Smart TV has plenty of content to watch.

This TV was a snap to setup. Once I had the stand attached (took awhile since there were so many screws - better to make sure the stand works as it should), I plugged it in, attached the appropriate HDMI cables, turned it on, set up my preferences and was watching tv. The picture is great and the sound is perfect for me. I loaded up some additional apps and no longer need to cast from my iPad. Great job Samsung.

This was a HUGE improvement over what I had before as this is my first flat screen TV. So, perhaps I am not the best one to review the product, but I loved it none the less. Easy set up, great pic, decent sound without the purchase of any extra speakers, sleek, ... My biggest complaint is that I have not yet found an easy guide to picture optimization. I wish Samsung included such an item with their TV's.

Very nice picture, easy controls, easy to setup, Smart TV capable, easy to add apps to Smart menu, one remote control. End of year model so bought it at a discount. Picture is not the latest but using it for broadcast TV and streaming.

If you're looking for a great 4k TV for a decent price, you've found it. Apps run very smooth and everything is quick to respond. Samsung's Tizen OS isn't my favorite, but it's well organized and has the collection of apps I need (VUDU, YouTubeTV/Youtube). Picture is bright, but isn't meant for a bright living room. I would say this TV is great for more dimly lit rooms like a bedroom or basement. Super easy set up, stand is sturdy and took about 5 minutes to get out of the box and plugged in. Favorite part is the smart remote, it'll work on anything you plug into the TV after the TV automatically detects what you plugged in. It's a sleek design, simple, and intuitive. At 50" you might question whether 4k is worth it or not...if you're already looking at this TV I don't think you'll regret going 4k at this price.
