I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase! The TV looks amazing! We’ve been watching HD & 4K quality videos non-stop since getting it! The only bad thing was we needed a new entertainment center - which was much needed anyway !! Haha would always recommend Samsung - their wireless capabilities streamline your entertainment. I could never go back now

This 4k TV has a great picture and was super easy to set up.

In 2015 I made the jump to 4K with the Vizio M series. I was impressed at the image quality and the overall quality of what was once considered a budget friendly brand. Last month, with the increase in HDR gaming content, I wanted to make the jump to a 4K set with decent HDR implementation. Not wanting to spend over $1000, I decided to try the Samsung MU8000 after buying and being very disappointed in the new Vizio M series. I made the right choice. Color depth, contrast, and overall picture quality in SDR and HDR are much better than the 2018 Vizio line. For gaming, input delay (especially for PC games) is very important, and the lag when the TV is set to Game Mode is ~17-18ms. While this is not the super low input lag of a high end, dedicated monitor, for a 49in TV it more than suits my needs of playing games in UHD fidelity. I also game on PS4 Pro and running games even in 1080p with 4K upscaling produces a very clean image when compared to other TV's in this range I've tried. UHD Blu-Ray content looks amazing - much better than the Vizio M series - and friends that have watched the latest Marvel movies on my set up have all commented on the amazing depth of color and overall picture quality. Upscaling FullHD Blu-Ray content also scales very well, with most movies I've tested looking a touch better than native 1080p. I also really enjoy the separate input connector that sits away from the TV as it makes cable management easier. The small, sparsely buttoned remote actually works extremely well, and seamlessly integrated with my Sony receiver so I'm not fumbling through multiple remotes (unless there is a specific function I need on my receiver). Overall, if you are looking to make the jump to 4K but don't want to shell out for an LG OLED or Samsung QLED, the Samsung MU8000 series is the way to go. Amazing value for your money, will last you for quite some time, and wonderful picture quality, color depth, contrast, and input lag for gaming on a giant monitor.

Love the picture. 4k is fab. Light and easy to setup. I appreciate all the HDMI slots. The smart tv function is one of the best I have used. The rv and remote control are truly compatible with my other Samsung devices.

I’ve always purchased Vizio TVs and have always had a good experience with them but I decided to try something different and get an upgrade. I’ve heard good things about Samsung so decided to spend a little more money on it compared to the Vizio. (And it was defenitly worth it) the quality is great and the sound is spectacular. Only thing is make sure you have a good internet connect and make sure you get the equipment to show the true quality of 4K. Overall, get the 8 series. It’s worth it’s price.
