This OLED screen looks great in a room that is not too bright. Colors are great and HDR looks good in and out of gaming. The built in smart features and navigation can be hard and not as simple as one might imagine to find what you need if simply using as a computer monitor. Fortunately you can eventually find what you need then set and forget. I did have to replace the first unit as it had trouble with the Display port input signal cutting in and out, but the second one has been working great. I do wish it had a cleaner cable management system like the original G9 or Neo models but if we are honest, how often are we looking at the back of the unit. I would say this is a great display if you are somewhat tech savvy and feel comfortable manipulating the setting to get what you need and be sure to test all the units features while still in a return policy.

The display is beautiful, I love the size and overall you can't beat OLED (MiniLED has some strengths over OLED for sure). That said the menus are so awful on this thing. It's a Smart TV in disguise but that's only half the problem. The menus and software is unintuitive. The included remote is so ridiculous too. I don't know what Samsung was thinking. Dedicated Netflix, Disney, Prime and Samsung Plus buttons. Channel up and down buttons? Really? How about some buttons to quickly adjust the brightness or input switching buttons? I'm sure there are some people out there who like these features but I can't imagine most people who want a 240hz, 49" Curved OLED display were hoping for the inclusion of a Netflix button. Samsung is out of touch. Thankfully the display itself is wonderful and for that alone I can still recommend this TV. I mean monitor.

It took me some time to write this review for one reason. I really wanted to give it a shot since my hype was bigger and also my expectation. I have different settings that vary from double screens to multiple screens, depending on what I will be doing. I was really trying to declutter a bit and just centralized everything on one of the settings. So, if you want the latest screen and with OLED, you got it. Just make sure you have the proper graphics card attached, otherwise you will have to upgrade, and big. Your everyday computer is not up to this screen. Anything under 4096x2160 looks deformed. Colors, details are great. I don't like that you can fell the heat coming out from the screen. If this is your work screen, not too sure. I like the feature that you can AirPlay or mirror your phone while working. I don't like the flickering between screens while mirroring the phone. The transition looks glitchy and slow. If you are watching YouTube it will split the screen, but in between videos it will get confused and resize the screens. Glitchy in one word. The sound is terrible. An old school Tv will sound better. Also, it gets too hot under the right third quarter, bottom area. The ambient light behind looks better on the sales pitch video. Actually that was one feature I was looking forward to. RGB Memory cards are brighter and better looking than that. The screens tilts a hair on one side. No way to adjusted. If you are a gamer and want to have three identical screens surrounding you and play your games, good, go ahead and build your stage. Two 34" UWHD cover more space and work better without complications. You can utilize Samsung Plus to watch free TV, but it centers and reduces the screen to a comparable 27" UWHD. You will have two black bars on the sides. Old school look prior Widescreen format. For the money, I was expecting way more. I can't believe it sold out. Maybe the sales pitch video helped. Too late to return it, since I started utilizing a bit too late. So keep the money, no worries, Early adopter habit. Maybe next version will be better.

Monitor is everything you could ask for. A couple of minor issues with the connections. Like the screen would go black with the use of displayport on the newer firmware but this was solved after I switched from display port to HDMI to micro-HDMI. Hoping with a future firmware update I can go back to displayport. For the time time being though, it runs perfectly with the connections I'm using.

This monitor looks amazing! The brightness is great and the pitch black blacks are beautiful. I did however have the update bug that made my display port inoperable. Samsungs fix is "use the hdmi port". Well samsung that isnt acceptable. I paid for that feature therefore i should be able to use it. There was a time i would have sworn by samsung and their support team. As of late i am inclined to not recommend them at all.

Without a doubt the best monitor I've ever had. Since I like to irace this monitor has been absolutely perfect. Besides that, it has a ton of smart features which I'm using. It allowed me to get rid of 3 older monitors that took up a ton of space on my desk. I have a nice clutter free desk now and a great monitor.

I use this monitor for photography (editing image files) and the learning curve for the monitor is steep. The size is amazing and allows me to multitask efficiently and effectively. The colors are amazing, but they took a bit of work and learning to get there. With that said, I am very happy with my purchase and and am enjoying this monitor very much.

The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 has taken my gaming and work experience to a whole new level! The 49” curved display is stunning, with vibrant colors and deep blacks that only OLED can deliver. Whether I’m gaming or multitasking, the ultra-wide 32:9 aspect ratio provides an immersive experience unlike anything I’ve used before. The 240Hz refresh rate ensures buttery smooth gameplay, and the response time is excellent—no lag or ghosting at all. The clarity and sharpness of the display make every detail pop, especially in fast-paced games. I also love the sleek design and how it complements my setup. It’s truly the ultimate monitor for gamers and content creators alike! If you’re serious about gaming or want an incredible ultra-wide display for productivity, the Odyssey OLED G9 is worth every penny.

Gorgeous monitor, comes with remote and the picture looks fantastic. Lookswise, its great Unfortunately it also has issues. It likes to randomly go black. Had to change frame rate to 160 in order to prevent it from happening AS MUCH. Note, it still happens. Randomly. All wires are fine, everything is updated as it should be ect. Very unfortunate. Should have kept my previous dual monitors. I never had this issue before.

This is a great monitor and I am still getting used to the ultrawide aspect ratio for the games I play. The OLED is super crisp and I love the response time. This is a LARGE monitor so make sure that you plan ahead and have the proper space to fit it on your desk. I was super annoyed with the fact that I had to setup WiFi and connect it to my existing SmartThings account just to perform a simple firmware update. This was a Openbox item and I will say that GeekSquad did an excellent job re-packaging it and the extended warranty is worth the piece of mind.

Took back the lg 45 oled and thats was an amazing gaming experience, its so immersive its unique, but the low ppi and sometimes low resolution made me want to give ghis 49 qd oled a try and wow im glad i did the colrs and vibrant screen just pops at you its ultra wide screen is also immersive and my eye health was also very happy its fast and immersive and just a much better experience its really spectacular amd amazing its just beautiful and colrs of that qdoled provide is unreal, sorry lg the 45 gamingoled has got to go back to for a return, just wished the the 49 qd oled a bit taller but other than thats its worth the high price of 2200$you do get a lot for the price as it also serves as a smart monitor with all the media appps built in for the price its also an amazing gaming monitor as that is going to my primary use for pc gaming its the best there is maybe when the lg 45 oled has a better resolution it can be a contender but for now the king has arrived in a glorious 49 inches of qd oled ultrawide

I mostly use the Samsung 49" Odyssey OLED G9 for work, and it’s been a game changer. It replaced my dual-monitor setup, and the ultra-wide screen makes it easy to have my AI code editor and browser open side by side, especially helpful now that AI coding tools are smarter and more integrated into my workflow. The sharp visuals and smooth performance make long hours at the desk a lot more comfortable.

I want to preface thsi with my first monitor was defective. It had lines down the center which caused the left side to be filled with grainy other lines. I returned that. BBY was kind enough to do a return adn exchange that they dropped off and picked up the new one. That being said my new one ------ I haven't had any issues with it yet, so far HDMI 2.1 seems to be the best input for the quality, but the DP 1.4 seems to do well as well. Vibrant colors, looks gorgeous in person. It does do this screen calibration thing very few days but apparently this is to help prevent burn in. So I'm happy they have a feature for that. I do try and turn it off when not in use or I leave the home to help that, but it also turns off by itself too. I highly recommend this monitor at this point, but keep an eye on it during the first couple weeks, the panel is amazing just some QA issues with how it's put together.

Beautiful screen but really annoying to setup and figure out. First time I’ve had to use a remote to use a pc monitor. The backlighting only really visible in a totally dark room. A single small light will prevent the backlight from show much. My biggest issue is the stand it comes with. It doesn’t allow for a tilt but has enough play that my monitor sits at a slight angle. You may want to get an arm to mount it on instead.

It has an amazing picture, but abytime I close and/or tab out of a full screen game, the screen goes black. I either have to restart, unplug the monitor from my GPU, or turn off game mode. Without game mode, you lose picture quality and refresh rate. As long as you dont mind doing this, it's a 10 out of 10. With the monitor being so expensive, I feel like it should not have issues like this.
