Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up initially to my VISIO television which worked just fine, but stood alone as far as having to use a separate remote, etc. Purchased a Samsung television and am able to control both the sound bar and the television through the Samsung "Smart Things" app, as well as enjoying the benefit of the television remote being used to automatically operate the sound bar.

We bought a similar slightly smaller one for our bedroom, but upgraded to this larger one for our family room flat screen TV in a much larger room. It meets our expectations except we cannot use it for our turn table to digitize vinyl records. There are no USB or RCA inputs.

The sound is crystal clear. Like you are in a movie theater. I wish all the speakers were wireless but its still a great sound bar.

Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q850T Soundbar. Placement of your surround speakers will affect your sound experience. Ideally, the surround speakers in a 5.1 surround sound configuration should be placed just behind, or to the side of, your listening position. The surrounds should be slightly higher than the front speakers in the room.
