Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-Q850T Soundbar. I am very sorry that you are not completely happy with the bass performance.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

Avoid Samsung like the plague

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is absolutely the worst most over priced sound system available, do yourself a favor and stay as far away from it and anything that Samsung sells. The system worked ok for a few months, then the bluetooth started crapping out. I'm very technically inclined so I learned how to reset everything (many times) and hold it together, but eventually even after a coomplete reset the sub would crap out after seconds of movie play. I finally opened a ticket, Samsung replaced the sub (that was good and almost got a couple stars until what happens later. After a few weeks the new sub does the same thing, and my resetting worked about 2-3 times before the system was shot. I finally was done dealing with this crap until a few weeks short of the warranty. Having paid a small fortune for this junk I wanted to get it fixed and sell it before the warranty expired. Samsung is apparently wise to this and will not reply to me via any service channels (text, IM, phone, etc) They are simply waiting for the warranty to expire so I can throw this $800 piece of junk in the trash

The range of sound from the five speakers is rich and clear. While I thought my regular TV audio was fine, I now know it was middling. The hook up p by the Geek Squad helped sync the best of both units for superior all around performance.

Setup is really simple and quick. I have no issue with synchronization with the TV after momentary delay. The sound is incredible and realism which makes watching Star War series like a new experiences every time . Samsung has done a great job with this system!
