    Not the most straightforward to set up, connect to WiFi network etc. Decent sound, Alexa a nice add on. Decent sound.

    Hands down this is the soubdbar to get i highly recommend this soundbar its really loud but its crystal clear. Great bass great sound all around. The only cons about this product is that the two rear speakers aren't loud enough but they get the job done imo.

    sound bar sounded good but not much from the subwoofer had to turn it up loud to do enything but I found out that thats the way it is with most Samsung woofers. Bought a Vizio for 2 hundred less the same setup and man it shook you when it was suppose to

      Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-Q850T Soundbar. I am very sorry that you are not completely happy with the bass performance.

      There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
      1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

      2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

      For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

    This took some getting used to for some members of our house as the background sounds are so realistic that everyone kept thinking / asking if someone was at the door or was that the TV..... Huge, quality sound from this system.

    Worked great for about a month. And then it started dropping sound intermittently. Sent it of for repair, and now they're sending it back having informed me there are no issues with it. But, since they didn't fix anything, it's still broken. Which, is unfortunate because I could have taken it back to best buy and got a different system, but instead decided to give them a chance to fix it. Lesson learned. I would recommend you purchase a different system.

    Over-promised and under-delivering Samsung

    Not worth the words written on the Samsung website. Samsung must employ people at a prison camp. No one seems to enjoy helping people. I spent nearly 90 minutes on the phone trying to resolve the issue of why the TV kept encysting that I plug this in to ARC-HDMI2 when it already was in that position. Watching the TV waiting for "Beyond Immersive" sound might take a while as it is on backorder with this system. I will be returning this system and installing a 10 year old Bose that blows the doors off this system

      You may want try to connect the TV to the soundbar using a different HDMI cable. We recommend you use a coreless HDMI cable if possible. If you use a cored HDMI cable, use one whose diameter is less than 0.55 inches (14 mm).

    Excellent 5.1 system. Feels very realistic. One issue is with the setup of blutooth for the back speakers, they had a lag initially. But when the system was connected to the TV using eARC HDMI, it was just amazing

    Atmos lag on Xbox series x, returned for the jbl

    Serious lag when using dolby atmos on series x and Samsung q80 TV. Made using atmos or anytype of Bitstream out from the series x totally unwatchable. System sounded fine and I probably would have kept it if there was no audio lag. Well returned and got the jbl 9.1 soundbar in its place. Audio lag is gone, atmos is awesome. There is absolutely zero comparison between the samsung and the jbl, jbl wins by a landslide. Also I didn't realize how little the samsung surrounds where doing until the jbl surrounds where back there. Wow im so happy with the system now. Stay away from the samsung system.

    The sound is excellent, and well balanced. It was very easy to set up; the directions were very clear. The sound is rich and full, and very natural--not gimmicky. The subwoofer adds depth and is not overpowering.

    Sounds great even with a vaulted ceiling. After adjusting atmos level. Great bass after testing different spots in the room. Place subwoofer for sound not looks.

      Hi Mkjr,

      To set up the Alexa functionality on the HW-Q850T Soundbar, you must do it within the SmartThings app. However, if you are having trouble, follow these steps on your smart phone:

      1. First delete the Soundbar from your SmartThings account: At the top left corner of the main page, tap on the 3 horizontal bars > Devices > tap on the 3 vertical dots on the top right corner > Delete > select the Soundbar > Delete
      2. Uninstall the SmartThings app from your smart phone
      3. Reinstall the SmartThings app from the app store
      4. Sign in to your SmartThings account
      5. Tap the + button at the top right of the main page > select Device > AV > Samsung > Soundbar
      6. After the Soundbar has been added, select the Soundbar from the main page
      7. Tap on the 3 vertical dots on the top right corner and tap on “Alexa Settings” to log in to your Amazon account

    I had purchased the Q70R soundbar and found it lacking the intensity I wanted. Swapped it out for this one and it doesn't disappoint especially listening to music and movies. Rear speakers give it a lil extra kick.
