    Sounds great but I checked out the other reviews about not getting the rear speakers to work but it took me a few minutes to figured out that tv had to be setup on hdmi/Arc. I do have a minor problem with one of the rear speakers or speaker wire. It cuts in and out when you move the speaker. Samsung wants me to return it, I am undecided Well so far it works and sound great

    It’s goood sound quality and an improvement from my last sound bar but I expected a bit more for the money to be honest. Doesn’t get as loud as it should be able too. Overall it is a step up from my Polk

    I’m impressed with the clarity. I compared this to the Bose and while I’m typically a Bose fan, this was several hundred less. And, given it’s just for TV use I do like the sub, and surround speakers too.

    This is a very good soundbar to have if you live in an apartment with thin walls because the bass doesn't hit so hard, but the sound quality is definitely great.

    At times we have to check connections over again, because it will just stop working. So far, we didn't have to do that lately. Otherwise it sound really good.

    This Samsung Q850T Soundbar package with rear wireless speakers goes perfect with my new 75-inch Q80T series 4K TV! The addition of Alexa built-in and Dolby Atoms makes this the perfect match. Every night is now movie night at home! Purchased during Black Friday sale at Best Buy in July. Merry Christmas to ME!!!

    I bought this sound bar baes on others Samsung Soundvar reviews. For this price I thought I was getting good quality sound. The sound bar gets really loud but it's lacking the midtones, the warmth of the voices. it's only the highs (treble) and a deep deep bass. After week I return this to Best buy and got the Harman and kardon that comes with bigger speakers. The bigger speakers sound more richer and the mid tones are there unlike the q850t. For this money you can get way better system compare to this one. I think for $400 or less this Soundbar is a good deal

    I did some research and found the HW-Q850T at Best Buy when they are having a sale. A sound check convinced me to buy this sound system. I ordered this as a open box product in excellent condition with free shipping. It even arrived a day early. Unpacking the box reveled, that in fact was in excellent condition with all parts included-even instructions.

    I have always been a pretty strong Samsung fan, so spent a little more than I intended to get this high-end Soundbar as a replacement to an older system that quit working. The size of the soundbar worked great in my configuration and the initial sound was great. Unfortunately though, there are several bugs (one of which is extremely annoying) that prevent me from rating it higher at this point: - Set up in Samsung Things on both by Samsung Note phone and iPad. It connected to the device quickly and all seemed good. However, 1.) it will not allow me to set up the Alexa feature (different errors on Note 10 phone and iPad) and 2.) will not update the Firmware wirelessly even though the network is connected and working (immediately errors out with "Update interrupted". - I bought the appropriate USB adapters to do a manual Firmware update (which I did - but the latest version is from May). - MOST ANNOYINGLY - while watching TV sourced from my 4K DirecTV box about once every 10-60 seconds (seems to get worse after it has been on for a while), the sound just completely cuts out for about a second, then resumes again. I've updated to high-end HDMI cables - didn't help. I then returned the sound bar itself to Best Buy and exchanged it for a new one - which seemed to have fixed it until we continued using it for about an hour straight and then the annoying cut-outs came back. I'm now torn as to whether to hope Samsung figures out what is going on and issues a Firmware update in the near future to fix it or return the whole thing to Best Buy before I run out of time on the return policy and buying a different sound bar.

      Thank you for purchasing the HW-Q850T soundbar. I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing periodic audio drops. There will be a new firmware release coming soon.

      When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically occur even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.

      If not connected to the internet, you can download it onto a USB device, and then upload it to your soundbar - no wireless connection required. When an update is available, you can update the Soundbar by connecting the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar. You will need a Micro USB to USB adapter cable (not supplied)

      1. Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → search for the model name from the customer support menu option.
      2. Download the upgrade file (USB type).
      3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name.
      4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar.
      5. Turn on the Soundbar. Then the product is updated within 3 minutes with displaying the message, “UPDATE”.
      - During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB.
      - If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it.
      - When the latest version is installed, no update is performed.
      - Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported.

      If your soundbar fails to update or is experiencing problems, please contact Samsung Customer Support

    Sound is good. Sounds great for movies. Very expensive and constantly turns off and have to turn off and back on. Not worth the money.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-Q850T Soundbar System. I am sorry to hear that your unit is turning off on its own. Please know that your soundbar has an Auto Power Down Function that turns off the soundbar automatically if it is in one of the following modes: D.IN, HDMI, BT, or USB and there is not audio signal for 18 minutes. It will also automatically turn off if the Aux cable is disconnected for 20 minutes.

      You can try the following: turn on our soundbar and change the source to Aux. Then press and hold the play/pause button for 5-7 seconds. Release the button when you see the display start scrolling “On-Auto Power Down”. The display should change to “Off-Auto Power Down”.

    If I could give this a 10 stars I would. If your wondering about atmos software this is where you want to be. I know some products are very pricey but this is the cheapest and best your gonna get. Sound quality is unlike anything your hear. Bur for beginners like me this is where you want to be before you try any other experience brand.

    Our surround sound was recommended by Patrick when installing the new Samsung 75” tv. He identified the model as well as stating it was on sale at the time. He set aside an installation time while here doing the tv, allowing time for the unit to be ordered and shipped to our home. Upon installation, the sound is great!!!

    While I'm happy overall there are a few things that I don't care for. Number One is the manual on how to use it. Sometimes by going to the web-site you can find more detailed instructions but not here. There are some things that I haven't been able to do that I was assured I could such as connecting my iPhone or iMac to the sound bar system. I'm sure I can do it but the how is the mystery. Number Two is how the sound bar reacts to changing the parameters of such things like balance, treble & bass and mode all show through the sound bar but you better be fast if you want to make changes!
