underwhelming

I am very sorry that you are not completely happy with the audio performance of the subwoofer.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize the potential of the included wireless subwoofer. First, is to increase the WOOFER level from the included remote control. Second is to adjust the bass control: Press the Sound Control button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level.
Finally, for precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize for your room acoustics.

Major Disappointment

It did not pair with my tv.. i tried all directions over and over again. Sometimes it would pair and sometimes it would not...so obviously it had the capability to pair. I also bought a hefty geek squad protection plan. Anyway ... i was so frustrated with the sound bar and so sickened at how much i paid for it... it took it back to geek squad... i had an attitude from geek squad right from the start as if i was at fault or i did not know what is was doing... i brought all my equipment back in the box.. subwoofer, remote control and chargers for both subwoofer and soundbar.... when i went to pick it up... nothing was in a nice sound damage proof package.. it was just mishandled completely and all they gave back to me was a charger for the soundbar!! i ended up having to argue with them for a long time ... and they kept on saying i brought in the charger... bottom line ,,,the supervisor went and looked at his footage and came back and showed me a very lame footage of a quick exchange which i asked him to zoom in and he did not. I am missing the remote for the system... he argued with me about the charger for the sound bar showing me a video of nothing relevant than just an exchange of items that he did not zoom in on..... i asked him to zoom in and we could not decipher anything. i brought everything in in the original box and packaging and now you are accusing me that i did not bring in anything but a charger to my subwoofer. When i go to the geek squad they make me feel terrible as if i am wrong right from the beginning and seem to right away judge that i am in the wrong.. well i paid a lof of money for that sound bar ... that is not pairing ... i brought in all pieces of equipment to the very last detail ... and when i got to best buy ... they told me to get rid of the box .. they do not need it and just collected the items i brought in!!!!!!!!!! and that is where the mistake was made on your side... plus when i got the soundbar back.. it was not in the same condition as when i brought the soundbar in.... this is because ... they told me they did need the packaging i brought the soundbar in .. so they were handling and transporting it without any packaging to prevent damages ... all they needed was the soundbar!!!!!!!!!! well in light of that ... everything was handled extremely poorly. i feel that you guys have stolen from me!! Yes.. I am an easy target.. and this is not the first time that you have done this sort of behavior!! I cannot get hold of you at all.. its impossible to get past your pyramided of soldiers

No as expected

Have to raise volume to max for decent sound. My $100 insignia was much better, but gave it to my son thinking this was better.

I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the performance of the HW-Q60R sound system featuring audio-enhancing technologies like Acoustic Beam for directional sound, Adaptive Sound mode to optimize content, and wireless subwoofer for deep bass.
Please try these tips to improve performance:
1) Check that the soundbar is correctly positioned with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. We have found that many customers are misplacing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when seated), with the unit resting on the speakers, resulting in muffled sound.
2) Adjust your settings. Refer to pages 22-24 of the User Manual:  http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201905/20190502131706388/HW-Q60R_ZC_FullManual_01_ENG_FRA_190227.pdf
...to adjust sounds modes, treble, bass, frequencies, subwoofer, and more.

Probably needs more speakers added.

The overall sound without adding additional speakers isn't as great as I thought it might be, but the item was on sale, so I took advantage of it.

I’ve never used something like it before so I’m not sure how to rate it. The speaker is placed In the corner of the room but I’m wondering if maybe it would be placed on the wall instead of the floor. I’ll be researching it more to figure Out the best placement.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Harman Kardon HW-Q60R Soundbar with Samsung Acoustic Beam.
The soundbar is typically placed under the TV, centered to where you would be sitting. The subwoofer is also typically placed near the TV, facing where you would be sitting.
