It was hooked up & seemed to be okay, but then the voice was all garbled. Then it wouldn't stay connected to the tv. Best buy came out & showed me how to ut the soundbar back on, orkd for couple days & then back to square 1 and haven't been able to get the sound bar to work wwith the tv. I am considering having best buy take it back & credit my account. Very disheartening.

Good quality but sound from the soundbar itself is not that great. The subwoofer did add a nice aspect to listening & being wireless is great.

Strangely loud and yet hard to understand the dialog. Often have to turn way up to understand and then crazy loud when music or commercial come on.

Thank you for sharing your review of the HW-Q60R Samsung Harman Kardon Soundbar with Samsung Acoustic Beam technology, designed to deliver rich, panoramic sound. A center channel is further dedicated to ensuring dialogue is always clear-sounding. Adaptive Sound mode additionally optimizes sound by analyzing your content and producing the best audio output.

I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the performance of the HW-Q60R.

To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or SMART.

There are also two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from soundbar and subwoofer:
      1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button down.

      2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

Please refer to pages 22-24 of the User Manual for audio setting adjustments:  http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201905/20190502131706388/HW-Q60R_ZC_FullManual_01_ENG_FRA_190227.pdf

So I switched from a Samsung Blue Ray Surround system to this product because I switched to 4k player. While the sound quality is ok, you have to crank it up to near 80/100 for it to fill the living room with clear sound, whereas, my surround sound over 30/100 and you were waking the dead and my neighbors. I think this is good for a small room and that is about it, and by small I mean like 10x12 at most as my living room isn't that big.

I returned it after 15 days. I really wanted to like it. I love Samsung and wanted the complete brand. No matter what I couldn’t get the sound right where I could hear the voice and the music wasn’t too loud. I’ve tried 4 Samsung sound-bars now and returned them all. Admittedly, they were all the lower end units. $500 or less. I gave two stars because the action and music sounds great. I just can’t hear what they say.

I am very sorry to see that you were not able to hear dialogue over action scenes or music scenes.

The entry-/mainstream models you purchased (HW-R650/R550/R450) feature a dedicated center channel for clear dialogue and a wireless subwoofer for deep bass.

To improve your experience, try using Dynamic Range Control (DRC). DRC lets you apply dynamic range control to Dolby Digital tracks. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
      1) Turn off your Soundbar.
      2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
      3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.

At first, great but subwoofer failed. Replaced and switching between apps and cable, control disconnects and both the soundbar and TV speaker are engaged. Have to switch off the soundbar with one remote, turn the TV speaker down with another, then turn the soundbar is fine. Happens on TWO Samsung OLED televisions with 2 different Samsung soundbars!!

    Greatly disappointed!

I needed a soundbar to replace sound from the damaged speakers on my older Samsung 6900 series TV. I had this soundbar for 1 day and was terribly disappointed by connection issues, the build quality and the poor quality of the sound from the speakers. The SW lacked any punch and I had the volume for both the bass and the SW turned all the way up. Turned up to the max the advertised deep bass from the SW was really a joke! Before a Samsung representative posts that I had the soundbar facing downwards and that affected the sound quality let me state that it was positioned properly and the speakers were facing the viewer. When playing any media that was a Dolby Digital soundtrack the sound would cutout every 10-15 seconds. This happened with both the Supplied optical cable and the HDMI-ARC connections (I tested 2 different HDMI cables). The sound only stayed stable with a PCM soundtrack which needless to say was not what you would want. Save your money on this model and checkout a better quality/brand soundbar like the Klipsch Bar 48 which I exchanged it for. It was worth the additional cost!

This soundbar is best for smaller rooms, with low ceilings, and when minimal bass is wanted. The technology requires lower ceilings to bounce the sounds back to you. If you have high ceilings it will sound weak and hollow. The sub is weak and does not produce the bass the manufacturers description would lead you to believe. I returned this and bought something else.

The sub-woofer would to sync automatically with the soundbar. I could not do it manually as it needed the remote. The remote did not work. Got a new remote from Samsung but that did not help. To be somewhat fair, this was an out of the box purchase I made online. It did say it was in excellent condition. I don't think so.

Was hoping for a dramatic, noticeable improvement over the built in TV speakers in my Samsung q80 . Maybe it is me but I can barely notice a difference. For 4 hundred dollars it is not worth it. The subwoofer adds nothing. I do not know if it is this sound bar or most sound bars that do not produce the promised hype.
