I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the performance of this sound system featuring audio-enhancing technologies like Acoustic Beam for directional sound, Adaptive Sound mode to optimize content, and wireless subwoofer for deep bass.
Please try these tips to improve performance:
1) Check that the soundbar is correctly positioned with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. We have found that many customers are misplacing the soundbar with the logo perpendicular to the floor with the unit resting on the speakers, resulting in muffled sound.

Our 2019 HW-Q60R Samsung Harman Kardon Soundbar with Samsung Acoustic Beam technology was designed to deliver rich, panoramic sound. A center channel is further dedicated to ensuring dialogue is always clear-sounding. Adaptive Sound mode additionally optimizes sound by analyzing your content and producing the best audio output.
Please try these tips to improve performance:
1) Check that the soundbar is correctly positioned with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. We have found that many customers are misplacing the soundbar with the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor (facing you when seated), with the unit resting on the speakers, resulting in muffled sound.

Should be easy to setup

So went and bought this one, as I have a Samsung TV. Took two hours setup, and even then the sound has issues on the smartTV apps. Which is a known issue. So I have a couple other things to try per a few sites, and if they do not work I am returning this POS.

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-Q60 Soundbar. I am very sorry that you are not completely happy with the bass performance.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize the potential of the included wireless subwoofer. First is to increase the WOOFER level from the included remote control. Second is to adjust the bass control: Press the Sound Control button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level.
Finally, for precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

Dolby Digital content may be the cause for your audio delay as this is a known issue affecting all brands.

Couldn’t turn up the base enough

Checked on-line to see if we were missing something or if we were doing anything wrong. We weren’t. Some reviewers love it, and some have the same problem. Returned it & purchased a Sony instead.

Thank you for sharing your user experience of the Samsung HW-Q60R. I am very sorry to hear that you are not happy with the vocal quality of this soundbar system.
A possible cause may be that the Soundbar is not placed with the SAMSUNG logo facing up towards the ceiling. If you position the soundbar with the logo facing up, you will see the display/status panel and the speakers will be facing outward. (Refer to product photos on BestBuy.com and zoom in on the photos)
If you have incorrectly placed the soundbar with the display side down and the SAMSUNG logo perpendicular to the floor, you will experience muffled or low quality sound because the unit will be resting on the speakers.

Not great sound

Speakers sold separately

Does not work

I returned and exchanged it with a brand new one at Best Buy with no hassle. It’s been 3 days and now the HDMI port only shows video with no audio or does no work at all. . I verified that it’s not a bad cable and that the cable does allow 4K HDR. I then connected the soundbar via optical to the TV but now the TV input option from the soundbar is not available. So I have a useless soundbar. That only displays video. FYI this was my first Samsung product and will be my last.

Worked well at first

After using for several months connected via optical out to my TV, I've begun to experience really bad sync issues with everything. Doesn't happen initially, but about halfway through a show or movie, the sound will be way off. Initially thought it might be an issue with the optical cable, but after changing the cable, problem still popped up. Finally swapped it out with another sound bar to make sure it wasn't the TV, and haven't had any issues at all.

Not good for movies.
