However, I decided to return it and get the Sonos Arc instead. This decision was supported by every online review that I could find.

It was a let down

Not loud enough

I am very sorry that you are experiencing connection issues with your Samsung HW-Q60T soundbar. Please make sure you are running the latest firmware update which includes improved connectivity. You can update your firmware ver. 1003.6 by Aby using a USB device.
Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q70T Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the sound performance. This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well Acoustic Beam which keeps your sound in sync with the action.
You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

HW-Q60T. looks nice, but sound drops out

The color and appearance are very nice. The sound is nice when it works properly, the sound on my bar does not work properly, the sound consistently drops out every 10-15 seconds, its extremely frustrating and annoying when watching any program, I got to a point where where I totally disconnected the sound bar. I've purchased numerous Samsung products as they have a reputation in providing best of class products, this purchase has me rethinking the brand quality.

Package destroyed when delivered

Good sound. Not enough bass for me

Sound Bar

The TV sounded just as good with out, not that much of a difference in the sound on movies. Sound was better when gaming. Ended up returning.

Please don't waste your time on this

Audio wise, it sounds pretty good with the adaptive sound however functionality wise it is a 1 star. I've had consistent problems with a few different issues. 1. Soundbar doesn't power on half the time with the remote or power button on the bar itself. You have to resolve this by unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in. 2. Soundbar has a continual audio drop when connected to a Samsung TV via HDMI ARC. You will be watching a movie and every 20 seconds it will skip 1-2 seconds of audio. I have tried a firmware upgrade and that did not help either. If you google the soundbar (which I should have done but I wanted to pair it with my new Samsung TV as both were purchased the same time) you will see people have been complaining about the audio drops for years. I will say that I have connected the soundbar to my Vizio TV and it doesn't have that audio drop which amazes me since you would think a Samsung soundbar would be a perfect match for a Samsung TV. The power issue with the vizio still remains the same. I've gotten to the point where I only use the Samsung soundbar once a week maybe when I am watching a new movie upstairs and not in the living room where my Samsung TV is.

Please check that the power cord is firmly plugged into the wall outlet and power adapter. Unplug and reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and the power adapter to make sure the connection is secure. Also, please check that power adapter is firmly connected to the main unit. Disconnect the power adapter from the Soundbar and reconnect to make sure the connection is firm and secure.
Here are a couple things you can check to resolve the ARC issue:
1) Try setting the digital audio output setting on the TV to PCM
2) Try a different HDMI cable. The cable should be a high-speed HDMI cable capable of 4K/30Hz

Rich sound

Our 2020 HW-Q60T Soundbar features Acoustic Beam Technology, which uses an inwards firing speaker which fires sound through the Acoustic Beam.
Each Beam has a total of 28 holes of different sizes (56 holes in total on the Soundbar), which project different frequencies of sound upwards to provide wider spread of sound.

Decent but not as good as expected

Problem with sound dropping

Here are a few things you can check to resolve the ARC issue:
1) Make sure the TV has the latest software version
2) Try setting the digital audio output setting on the TV to PCM
3) Try a different HDMI cable. The cable should be a high-speed HDMI cable capable of 4K/30Hz

Good sound. SAMSUNG quality
