||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve always had receivers (or only tv speakers). After a power surge took out one of our receivers we tried this sound bar for the simplicity of it. It sounded awful. I actually preferred the tv speakers on out 82” Samsung versus this sound bar. It may just be an issue I’ll have with any soundbar - but I won’t buy another.

Thank you for sharing your user experience with the HW-Q60T and the additional Rear Speaker Kit.
By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.
However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:
1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Doesn't Work
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a LG CX tv and I bought this sound bar hoping to have a better sound experience...... Well the sound bar has multiple presets you can choose from like game, adaptive, surround sound and dts virtual etc. Problem is all these options the sound cuts out randomly and frequently to where it's just unusable. THE ONLY sound Option that doesn't cut out is dts virtual, problem is it doesn't sound good for video games or movies so the other presets that I want to use and sound better I can't even use. Disappointing, maybe I just got a faulty sound bar.

Posted .Hi Pm92,
Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q60T Soundbar. I I am very sorry to see that you are experiencing sound cut outs that may be due to connection issues.
Connecting your soundbar to the TV with HDMI cab;e will give you the best possible audio. HDMI cables transmit sound digitally, which makes everything crystal clear. Here is the step-by-step guide for your reference:
1) With the Soundbar and TV turned on, connect the HDMI cable
2) “TV ARC” appears in the display window of the Soundbar main unit and the Soundbar plays TV Sound.
a. If TV sound is inaudible, press the (Source) button on the remote control or on the right side of the Soundbar to switch to “D.IN” mode. The screen displays “D.IN” and “TV ARC” in sequence, and the TV sound is played.
b. If “TV ARC” does not appear in the display window of the Soundbar main unit, confirm that the cable is connected to the correct port.
c. Use the volume buttons on the TV’s remote control to change the volume on the Soundbar.
If the TV provides an ARC port, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN (ARC) port. We recommend you use a coreless HDMI cable if possible. If you use a corded HDMI cable, use one whose diameter is less than 0.55 inches (14 mm). This function is not available if the HDMI cable does not support ARC.
Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements.
Please make sure you are running the latest firmware update which includes improved connectivity. You can update your firmware ver. 1003.6 by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-Q60T on the Samsung website.

I am very sorry to see that you are finding voices hard to hear when watching videos/tv.
To improve your experience, press the Sound Mode button on your remote control and select Adaptive Sound. In Adaptive Sound mode, the soundbar analyzes the content and volume to optimize the audio rendering resulting in clearer dialog.
Try using Dynamic Range Control (DRC). DRC lets you apply dynamic range control to Dolby Digital tracks. With DRC turned on, loud sounds will be reduced.
1) Turn off your Soundbar.
2) While the Soundbar is off, press and hold the Sound Mode button on the remote control for 6 seconds until you see “DRC ON” shown on the display.
3) To turn off DRC, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.
I hope these settings help improve the quality of the dialogue. Should you need further assistance with setting, features, or functions, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

Worst sound bar ever!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst sound bar I've ever owned. Keeps forcing the TV to change the source to the HDMI ARC port that the sound bar is connected to which has no display. Sent it to samsung to be "repaired" under warranty and the literally did nothing. "Couldn't reproduce the issue". Very disappointed in Samsung for both the product and service received with this sound bar.

Posted .Hi Dax77,
Thank you for sharing your review on the HW-Q60T soundbar. Your experience is very important to us and will be shared with our product teams.
You may want to check the HDMI cable is connected from the soundbar's HDMI ARC port to the HDMI OUT ARC port on your TV. On the 2020 Samsung Smart TVs, if you are not connected to the HDMI ARC port on your TV, it will want you connect the your cable to this port so you can optimize your sound experience. I hope this tip helps.
