Low bass

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-Q60T Soundbar. I am very sorry that you are not completely happy with the bass performance.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q60T Soundbar.I am sorry to see that you are experiencing connection issues. When you turn the power on after connecting the power cables to the Soundbar and subwoofer, the subwoofer is automatically connected to the Soundbar. When auto pairing is complete, the blue indicators at the rear of the subwoofer turn on.
If autoconnection fails, you can manually connect the subwoofer.
Before performing the manual connection procedure below:
• Check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly.
• Make sure that the Soundbar is turned on.
1. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds.
• The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks.
2. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds.
• The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears.
• The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete.
3. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete). The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.
Please note:
• Do not connect the power cord of this product or your TV to a wall outlet until all connections between components are complete.
• Before moving or installing this product, be sure to turn off the power and disconnect the power cord.
• If the main unit is powered off, the wireless subwoofer will go into stand-by mode and the STANDBY LED on the rear of the sub-woofer will turn red after blinking in blue several times.
• If you use a device that uses the same frequency (5.8GHz) as the Soundbar near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
• The maximum transmission distance of the main unit’s wireless signal is about 32.8 ft but may vary depending on your operating environment. If a steel-concrete or metallic wall is between the main unit and the wireless subwoofer, the system may not operate at all because the wireless signal cannot penetrate metal.
• Wireless receiving antennas are built into the wireless subwoofer. Keep the unit away from water and moisture.
• For optimal listening performance, make sure that the area around the wireless subwoofer and the Wireless Receiver Module (sold separately) is clear of any obstructions.

Great soundbar

Even better it has the sound quality to match. My favorite mode is the DTS virtual which provides a great immersive surround sound quality to anything you watch. Working from home, I also connect Bluetooth to my cell to stream music while I work which is far better than the sound quality on my cell phone. The subwoofer is adjustable so depending on your living situation you can shake the neighbors or not. Streamed movies sound awesome! Everything about it feels solidly built, it’s easy to set up and use, looks great, and sounds great. Very impressed and highly recommended if you are looking to upgrade your sound and tv viewing experience.

Good for a small - medium room

When looking for sound I look for something loud with minimal distortion. I want clean sound and something easy to use. The wireless subwoofer is a nice feature and I had no issues with it syncing automatically. The remote allows you to individually control the sound for the soundbar and the subwoofer. Once hooked up, I first connected to Bluetooth which is pretty straight forward. Started playing my playlists to see how it sounded, and it was decent, but nothing special. The volume goes up to 100, but anything after 60 sounded to be about the same volume. It wasn’t very loud, but loud enough for most people I’m sure. The next day I decided to test out a movie. My expectations weren’t that high because of the bluetooth, but when connected to HDMI its a big difference! I pushed the volume and it got much louder this time, I was pretty impressed with it. Even had to turn down the volume at one point. Bass was decent too, at least for a 6.5” subwoofer. For the price, I think it should have better sound personally or it may be better to spend the extra money on the next step up for Atmos feature. I think its a great addition to bedroom tv rather than the main TV in the living room.

Decent Soundbar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this soundbar a few weeks ago to replace my old one in my living room and overall I'm pleased with it. It doesn't produce the sound I was expecting, but maybe I was spoiled by my previous one. But for the price, it's better than just normal sound coming from the TV. Playing around with the settings helps give a little more quality to the sound too. I generally like Samsung products. I've had a couple of TV's, washer and dryer, etc from them over the years and they usually deliver quality and easy to use product. This soundbar was easy to setup and it's a little more compact than I thought, so that was a pleasant surprise. It pairs with my iphone easily with bluetooth and switches back to the TV quickly if wanted. The remote is tiny and I haven't lost it yet so that's a plus. Overall, I'd recommend this product if you're looking for a cost efficient solution for your TV. If you're looking to be wowed or anything, I'd maybe splurge on a higher end model.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I managed to scoop this up during Samsung's massive 2020 holiday sale for an excellent price. I also added on the rear speakers as well, so I have the whole package. This is overall a great soundbar setup! The good: Easy setup, punchy bass. I like that you have several connection options, but keep in mind they are all new tech I/O's. No RCA or 1/8" here. I opted for using ARC (had to buy a TV too), but you can use Bluetooth or optical as well, but ARC gets you all the features. I love the wireless woofer too! Very good sound. Mine is turned to "0" and I still shake the walls. Highs are okay, but not crispy. Tried it with a Blu Ray and I can say it IS the closest I've gotten to theater sound at home. The room is filled nicely with no real dead space. The soundbar alone fills the room, but don't get too excited for virtual surround. Sound leveling seems to work well. I'm not "riding the volume" when commercials pop up. The construction is excellent. The soundbar is heavy and solid and the unit is made from metal and high quality polymers. The simple, minimalist design will age well and compliment all but the largest of television sets. The Not So Good: Like I said before, the highs aren't very crispy. They are good, but don't deliver that sharp feeling that high end speakers do. These are okay, but I'm disappointed that even with a Samsung TV connected, I still get very little EQ control. Also, the rear speakers are a mess to connect. The real answer is some vague hybrid of the instructions from both the soundbar and rear speakers. Thankfully though, I should only have to do it once and, it's worth the hassle for the added depth. I also wish I could control the volume of each rear speaker. Now to the elephant in the room. Samsung Beam Technogy. Yes, I allowed myself to be suckered into that hype, but I was curious. Supposedly, it helps to channel and target sounds to specific parts of the room, but I have yet to have that "WOW!" moment where I hear sounds coming from various layers of space. There's not a ton of literature on it, unfortunately. And it's impossible to measure. But, I can say this. I wouldn't miss it if I never "experienced" it. If that is your ONLY reason to get this, then reconsider. There's nothing bad about it, I just think it's overhyped. Would I pay the full $500 or "reduced" $400? No. But, for the $265 I paid (which allowed me to get rear speakers), I'm satisfied. This is only my fourth DTS system. I stick with my HT sound setups for a LONG time so I'm hoping this one can get me through for awhile. If you can get it on a good sale or second hand, I'd pick one up. But, skip the full price purchase. Side note: My rating is for the soundbar itself, and while I do use the rear speakers, I didn't consider those for my rating.

I feel like the soundbar is great value for under 300 dollars. It really sounds great through arc with a PS5. I'd say the bass isn't very boomy but it is well balanced with solid performance. The wireless rear speakers were a steal at 39.99 but I wouldn't want to pay much more than 60 or 70 for them. They really do add a nice touch though to fully immerse yourself in sound. Everything paired together easily enough, though the rear speakers took a few trys the 1st go. Very simple to learn this sound system and, found more joy in learning than frustration. Really the nice thing is that this soundbar sounds good on its own, so if I didn't get a bundle deal I could have waited a bit to add the rear speakers down the road. I think this option makes it one of the best soundbars at this time in this price range. I use this in a bedroom so cannot speak for larger rooms but this does not seem like it has any issues playing content loudly and clearly. If I had the choice to purchase this system again I would.

Excellent Product At A Great Price

Previously I had spent over $3000 on a 700 watt receiver and 6 speakers but felt like it was time to try something since it had been over 15 years since I had purchased any audio equipment. Honestly with the exception of not having 2 back speakers anymore, this sounds just as good as what I previously has at 10% of the price. Here is what really stands out: - Easy to set up. Took maybe 5 minutes to set up with my Q90 TV - The remote is very easy to use. - The volume options for base really make a difference (set at +4) - All the sound options are really nice. - Movies really sound great on DTS or Surround Sound - Xbox Series X sound great on Game Mode Sound - No longer having speaker wires is great Again, I really could not be happier with this purchase. I know there are probably better if you want to upgrade and pay more but this is a steal at such a great price. With over 300 watts of volume, this works out perfect in our game room. Great job Samsung and thanks to Best Buy for offering such a great product at a great Black Friday price.
