    Two years old now and we have been very happy with this sound bar. We are now shopping for a new Samsung Sound bar and this will be moved to another room.

    There is so much confusion when you read reviews. I bought this and someone said JBL is better. I saw JBL reviews and some of them said Samsung is better. This device gives an amazing sound. Surround sound is amazing. We watched games and movies. Sound quality is very good. Try it , you might like it

    Q-Symphony does NOT work with all QLED TVs

    I purchased this Soundbar specifically to connect to 85" Q60T TV. The Q-Symphony feature was the deciding factor choosing to go with this Soundbar. No matter what I tried, the feature did not work as it was greyed out in the options. After some research, I found that the feature only works with Q70T or better models. What a disappointment that was; To know that I spent $2500 on a TV not knowing it's not top-of-the-line or luxury enough for the feature. True, I could've done the research, regardless, it still leaves a bad taste. The Soundbar is about average for the price, but for ease of installation when connecting it to a Samsung it deserved another star. I hope in the near future, maybe Samsung can offer a software patch that can offer Q-Symphony as an option for the Q60T.

    I’m not sure if I received a defective model or samsung is known to have issues with connecting HDMI ARC. I have a 55” Samsung TV that has HDMI ARC connection. One day the soundbar will work without any hiccups and next day no sound. I have spent over 6 hours troubleshooting and updating the soundbar to calling tech support. It just not reliable when it comes to HDMI ARC connection. The soundbar will display “TV SPEAKER” instead of “TV ARC”. The days it worked it sounds great. Again not sure if I just received a defective unit.

      Thank you for purchasing the HW-Q60T Soundbar and for your review. I am very sorry that you are experiencing periodic connection issues when using HDMI ARC.

      1) Check whether the HDMI cable is correctly connected to the ARC terminal.

      2) Connection may not be possible due to the connected external device (set-top box, game machine, etc.). Directly connect the Soundbar.

      3) HDMI-CEC may not be activated on the TV. Turn on the CEC on the TV menu. (Samsung TV: Home > Settings > General > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) ON)

    Unhappy with performance

    This device originally worked fine but as time went by, I began to have several problem. It would overheat, have no sound when turned on, it had an echo and it would not override the TV set's sound so I ended up with delayed and overlapping sound. Very disappointed in this because I am used to very good performance from this product brand.

    This sound at is an absolute joke, no matter which sound mode you choose, the sound will always feel flat and drab. The subwoofer is extremely weak, it does NOT deliver at all. I have a Logitech THX stereo system for my computer that will blow this Samsung system out into outer space effortlessly. Turning up the woofer to the maximum of +6 barely does anything to alleviate the lack of bass. No firmware update can fix this mess. Worst purchase I’ve made in a very long time.

    Most importantly, the bar's sound is not good. Though it is loud, powerful, and fills the room very well, the mid range is muddy and the high end sounds tinny and, at times, distorted. Adjusting the graphic equalizer does not fix this. You are also stuck with "Standard" mode, which sounds extremely flat and narrow, or one of a handful of virtual surround modes, which over-process the audio to the point of distortion. Furthermore, this is advertised as having 5.1 channels, but it will not accept an uncompressed 5.1 signal, only PCM 2.0 or Bitstream. It does have a nice build, however.

      Thank you for purchasing the HW-Q60T Soundbar and for your review. This soundbar features 5.1Channels with Samsung Acoustic Beam Technology. The industry standard for television broadcast is Dolby Digital, and DTS is used on certain Blu-ray movies. Both Dolby Digital and DTS standards use compression for their 5.1 channels.

      In addition to optimizing audio performance for your specific content by selecting a Sound Mode (STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, ADAPTIVE SOUND, or DTS VIRTUAL:X), you can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).

    set up was easy and it works great I can now hear my TV on a much lower sound level i used to have to go as high as 40 on my volume control now it is more like 15 to 20

    I got this as a gift about a year ago, and it worked great until now. It frequently cuts in and out randomly while connected to Bluetooth, and I've tried several things to trouble shoot it already. Sadly it is out of the 1 year warranty. Very disappointed as I would hope a product like this would be able to last me several years.

    Minor problems in the beginning that have become more frequent over time. Only one source connected and it would sometimes not switch to the only connected source. Now it will not even recognize the streaming device and I had remove the soundbar entirely
