Samsung has the worst customer service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several Samsung products (e.g., 10+ phone, earbuds, smart watch, tablet, TV, soundbar), but I will never buy another Samsung again after this ordeal. First off, I already had a Samsung 43" MU6290 4K UHD TV in the master bedroom, which is about 2-1/2 years old and it works fine. I had it paired with a Sony soundbase, but decided to get the Samsung HW-Q60T/ZA soundbar with SWA-8500S/ZA rear speakers. I hooked everything up the way everything was supposed to be hooked up, but the Dolby options on the Samsung TV were grayed out, so I called tech support. After being on hold and then explaining the problem, we got disconnected, so I called back and explained the situation again. After 30 minutes of the tech not being able to solve the problem, even after remotely accessing the TV, she said she would call me back in 15 to 20 minutes. Seven hours later I still hadn’t heard from her, so I called tech support and, once again, explained the situation. After about an hour the tech told me the problem was with the TV and there was nothing else he could try. Even though the picture quality on that TV was fine, I purchased a Samsung 43” QLED Q60T TV, which should match up perfectly with the Q60T soundbar. Not so. I could not get the Symphony function to work (i.e., soundbar synced with TV speakers), so I had to call tech support. Once again, after being on hold and explaining the problem, we were disconnected. It’s literally like they do this to see just how angry they can make their customers. Regardless, I called back and started from square one. After about 30 minutes of the tech not having any success, he wanted to connect to my TV and I said that was fine. Then we got disconnected AGAIN. Oh, and BTW, even though they had my phone number all three times that I got disconnected, not one of the three tech support reps had the common courtesy to call me back. As I said, I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT.

Thank you for purchasing the HW-Q60T Soundbar to pair with your Q60T TV. Q-Symphony allows the Soundbar to sync with a Samsung TV to bring your sound through two devices for optimum surround effect.
When the Soundbar is connected, the menu, “TV+Soundbar” appears under the Sound Output menu of the TV. Select the corresponding menu.
When a Samsung Soundbar that supports Q-Symphony is connected, the menu name such as "TV + Soundbar" appears under Sound Output ( Settings > Sound > Sound Output). Select the menu. (Example: TV + [AV] Soundbar series name (HDMI) or TV + Optical)
It can operate according to the Codec supported by TV. This function is supported only when the HDMI Cable or Optical Cable (not supplied) is connected.
Q-Symphony is not supported by Multi View

Posted .Hi Jazzy,
Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q60T Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the sound performance. This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well as Game Pro Mode, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS Digital Surround for deep bass, rich sound, and clear tones.
You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, ADAPTIVE SOUND, or DTS VIRTUAL:X.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).
Refer to pages 22-24 of the User Manual for detailed instructions:  https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202004/20200417163727097/HW-Q60T_ZA_FullManual_02_ENG_200219.pdf
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.
I hope this helps. For further assistance with features, settings, adjustments, or functions please contact Samsung Customer Support.

Ok but better oltions like the q70t
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sounded great in the store but after getting it home I found it to be way too heavy on the bass. Voices sound muffled. Played with the treble, bass and eq settings and still way too bass heavy. After reading more reviews this seems to be a general complaint. Returned it for the hwq-70 and I love this one. Way more neutral sounding out of the box and has more controls. The q60 just wasn’t for me. If you are on the fence go with the q70

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this Soundbar for 3 months. Recently it just switches to there is no input, while watching tv or even switching channels. I will have to switch inputs . I talked to Samsung and they said to reset the tv (which is a Vizio) . With it not working. Very frustrating

Posted .Hi Alex,
Thank you for purchasing the HW-Q60T and for your review. We appreciate you sharing your feedback regarding the soundbar not maintaining the desired source connection. Doesn't automatically with Samsung TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this soundbar together with the Samsung Q70R. Paid Bestbuy to come out and set up the two and everthing worked as advertised, with both units controlled by the TV remote. At least for a while. Started noticing that soundbar was no longer working off the TV remote so I now need both remotes each time the TV was turned on. Reinstalled according to the setup instructions w/o luck. Reinitialized as per Samsung's online troubleshooting without fixing the issue. Started digging deeper for online help and found that this is a pervasive problem between Samsung TVs and soundbars. Very disappointed in that I expected flawless integration by Samsung's own units. Major reason I picked this soundbar over the competition. Samsung didn't deliver as advertised.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-Q60T Soundbar. As long as your soundbar is connected to your TV with either an optical cable or HDMI via ARC, you can control the volume and mute the soundbar using your Samsung TV's remote.
1) Use the TV remote to navigate to Settings, select Sound, and then select Sound Output on your Samsung TV.
2) Select your Samsung soundbar, and then select Close. Now you can use your TV remote to adjust volume and mute the soundbar. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.
By default, Samsung TV remotes should be able to control Samsung soundbars. If it isn't working, be sure the soundbar is powered on, and then press and hold the WOOFER button up until "ON - TV REMOTE" appears on the display (about 5 seconds). Next, you'll need to choose between connecting with an optical cable or an HDMI cable.

Soundbar on but never connects to the tv.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Q70R I'm sorry I bought this soundbar. Takes an hour to get it to work then the next day, it's not connected again to the tv, (also a Samsung, we bought them at the same time). Forever going in circles in the settings. I have a html cable and wifi which is paired. No clue how to keep the soundbar working. Sound stays on tv speakers. And does nothing when i click on soundbar, only configuring speaker settings with no results.

Buyer beware!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beware! I use the sound at with an LG 65 inch TV. About once a week, the connection between the TV and sound bar is disconnected for an unknown reason, and the TV reverts to its internal speakers. This phenomena is well known apparently, and is documented on the web. Not restricted to LG TV's. Sound is good otherwise. It takes disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable to resolve it.
