I bought this knowing new TV's don't have great sound quality these days due to the lack of speak space. Even my fiancee loves it after a week (play her favorite movie on it and she'll agree with you). I would wire the Cable box into the SB, then wire the SB into the eArc HMDI port...

Outstanding option for Samsung TV’s

You won’t be disappointed. I also purchased the surround for the bar and swapped out the ridiculously terrible tiny Samsung speakers with some surround Polk speakers I had. WOW, very nice sounds.

Extremely easy setup with Samsung TV--can't comment on setup with other brands. Only complaint is that the soundbar is slightly wider than the space between the feet on the Samsung TV so it does not fit under the set--wouldn't be a problem with wall mount but I have my tv sitting on a flat surface.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SOUND BAR WITH THE 8500s REAR SPEAKERS AND TO BE HONEST IT MAKES ME FEEL LIKE IF WAS IN A MOVIE THEATER. THE SOUND FOR MUSIC, GAMES, MOVIES IS VERY IMPRESSIVE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT IT DOESN'T LET ME PLAY GAMES WITH HDR WITH THE XBOX ONE X

Flexibility of connecting to other devices is a snap...laptop...streaming of music from Android S9. Very good sound is able to carry thru residence without distortion or complaints from others. The link between the Q-series set and the soundbar is remarkable!

Sound quality is great but feels quite expensive as we could get similar experience with the price range of 150 - 170.

It may be connected either wirelessly (via WiFi) or via traditional wired connections. Either way, the set up was so easy and the sound is deep and broad. Well worth the price, I have already recommended it to others.

I like that it turns off and on with my TV, and I can use the TV remote as well as my cable remote to adjust the volume. It fits well in front of my TV and when we play a movie it is almost like surround sound.

Good Soundbar to pair with Samsung Smart TV

The price was good and the sound is surprisingly good. The only issue I have is the sound will stop syncing from time to time with the TV and quick power cycle will correct. All in all a great product.

They did not have this model on display and I listened to the next three levels lower. After going back and forth the sales associate went and checked if they had in bundle promos when you buy the TV and the soundbar. He came back with this one which was the step up. I figured I'd try it out at home and if it didn't work good I could return/trade it for something else. I have been super happy with it. Better than the other three models buy a long shot. I have a fairly large living room and this thing fills it with sound plus the different adaptive audio settings allows me to hear the dialog in noisy or soft scenes.
