After a year, fairly disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this system for a year and overall, i am disappointed in this system. The sound quality itself is decent but there are several things that i don't like about it. There is no volume increase beyond a volume level of 40 or 50. The surround sound function is weak and doesn't sound like surround at all. The speaker itself cuts out intermittently and requires that you turn it off and turn it back on. Overall, this is not worth the price.

Quality sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound is very nice and loud. Only issue I've had is that if it's on for a long period of time, the sound will mute. Power will still be on but no sound. Have to cycle power to get it back on.

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for my tech challenged father as a Christmas gift to go along with his Samsung smart TV. Setup is a breeze and it works seamlessly with his TV. Solid product and sound for the price point.

Samsung has a great ecosystem
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While it doesn't get as loud as i would like the clarity when you turn it up sounds great. The bass is adequate. It does not sound "stereo" per se or surround, but it has a great link with your television

Samsung Soundbar!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a bit of a pain to setup but once it is it's a great soundbar. It lacks a large display so it's difficult to see from a distance what you're changing, but other than that the sound is amazing!

Samsung 5.1 Soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It adds to the movie/TV experience. Setup was real easy and no issues in the few months I have been using it. I turn the TV on or off and no need to actually mess with the sound bar. BT connection is GREAT too. Better

Great Sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound, 5 channel and no need to install additional speakers. All you need is the sound bar and the woofer. Make sure you get a bracket for the bar to connect to your TV.

Nice sound bar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this from a 2.1 and won’t ever look back. Sounds amazing. My only complaint is that it is does not quite thump like the 2.1 system did, even with a higher power woofer. Still sounds great though.

Great Sound Bar !!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Samsung sound bar before buying this one and this sound bar is best by far. The sound is clearer and it actually surrounds the room . With the subwoofer, the sound is fantastic. I would but this sound bar again.

Sounds great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the sound but it requires the HDMI cord to be in a certain port which is the designated port for the video signal. So, every time i turn on the tv, i have to change the source to the video port.

Stereo upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Light weight, doesn't take up much space, easy to set up, and sounds great! I bought this to replace an older 5-speaker surround sound system, and am not disappointed with the upgrade.

Good sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems pretty good. The sound is full. It was installed when the Geek Squad installed the tv, but the instructions are inadequate, so I don't know if I'm getting the full benefit from it.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung sound bar we now use with the Samsung QLED seems to be working good however we are a little surprised that the sound bar did not extend the volume of the TV - but the sound is great!

Great all around sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worth the extra money! I am a huge movie buff and the way the sound bar and sub come together is a great in home movie experience. I no longer need to adjust the sound throughout the movie as I did with my previous system.

Much better than tv speakers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this sound bar as a present for a family member who does not have a sound system. Setting up the soundbar was fairly straightforward. It was connected to the eARC HDMI port on the TV. Then the Apple TV was connected to the second HDMI port on the soundbar. After than enabling CEC control on the TV meant we could control volume and power ON/OFF from the Apple TV without having to us the TV or soundbar remote. However, you will still need to keep the soundbar remote handy in order to be able to switch between sound modes, or if you need to pair a device to the soundbar via Bluetooth. About ease of use. One thing I absolutely dislike about soundbars is the Interface, and this one is no different. It had a small LCD display on the right side that gives you minimal information to help you navigate through the settings. But the LCD is small and semi hidden behind the grill of the soundbar. However, this is fairly common to these devices so I am not going to be overly critical. It’s just not my cup of tea. Now for the sound. It’s good. Not great, but good. I have a 5.1.4 system at home and this soundbar just can’t compare. However, for a person that up until now all they had was their tv speakers, this is absolutely a vast improvement. I would love to see the subwoofer have more presence, but I am not sure whether this is due to my family member not setting up the subwoofer past level 1 or 2 on the soundbar, so I’m not going to ding it for that. I will say the sound is fairly clear and dialog comes through nice and crisp which is what you want. I have also listened to this soundbar playing music, and as expected the Music setting makes it sound a lot better, and the subwoofer gives it a lot more low end punch. Is this a good deal? I am not sure. At $300, I would need to see other soundbars at around the same price to compare. For myself, I would have to say no. But I am spoiled by my current (and much more high end) speaker and receiver setup that has probably costed me 4 times as much. However, the recipient of this gift really likes it, so mission accomplished. And the fact that all the cables that were needed was a power cable and 2 HDMI cables to completely set it up, is something many people will welcome, as it reduces complexity and clutter. All in all, we are satisfied with the results we have seen from this device.

Posted .Hi fridge,
Thank you for sharing your user experience with the HW-Q60T Samsung Soundbar. Your feedback regarding this model is important to us and will be shared with our internal teams.
I am very sorry that you are not completely happy with the bass performance.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.
