Good sound. At this price range.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound with decent thumping bass. The DTS Virtual Sound X is worth it on this soundbar. Only lacks Wi-Fi and Dolby Atmos. But at this price point I'd call it breaking even.

Incredible speaker system
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Omg, I didn’t realize what a great speaker system this was when I purchased it. Caught a deal and a heck of a deal it was. I use this for all my music needs as well as the tv. Thinking of getting a second one for my bedroom.

Slightly disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already had an LG sound bar system similar to this one but saw a Christmas deal and bought it- that I bought it a couple hundred dollars off full price is why I’d rate it as a higher value. I’m a little disappointed, honestly. It has a bigger sub but the bass is not anywhere near as full as the smaller sub that it replaced even after doing a custom setup. The high range in the bar itself is superior to what I had, but overall, the sound is not better than what was there. I moved the old system into a different room so I still have it. I’m thinking of swapping them again to have the fuller sounding audio downstairs. Lesson learned... don’t buy it if you didn’t try it.

Posted .PelicanUser,
Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q60T Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the sound performance. This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well as Game Pro Mode, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS Digital Surround for deep bass, rich sound, and clear tones.
You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, ADAPTIVE SOUND, or DTS VIRTUAL:X.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).
Also, there are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.
I hope this helps. For further assistance with features, settings, adjustments, or functions please contact Samsung Customer Support via:

Good sound for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well for what I paid, and it meets my needs for sound. Maybe I could've paid more for a better one, but I'm not sure that I would notice the difference.

Synched to a Samsung TV, which might make it simpler, but setup was a breeze. Sound quality is impressive, not overpowering, and overall enhances the viewing experience whatever you're watching. Definitely recommend.

New line of Samsung soundbars will knock you out!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.upgraded from an older Samsung 3.1 soundbar, hooked it up to my rear Samsung speakers and even though its not an Atmos, its pretty close up there with the up firing speakers! And yes, those new 8'' subs are much better than the old 7'' ones! Highly recommended!

Give you TV a nice bump in sound and more!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want better audio than what your TV came with, but not wanting to rattle the walls too much, then this is it. Easy wireless setup and you can link it to bluetooth enabled devices like your phones, tablets and PCs too. You can also add wireless satellite speakers, sold separately, for an even better surround sound experience. My Samsung sound bar system integrated automatically with my Samsung 4K TV where the volume control on the TV remote also changes the volume of the sound sound bar. You can still use the dedicated remote to control the overall volume of the sound bar. The dedicated remote is used to set the bass, treble, subwoofer levels and sound modes. Overall the sound quality is very good in my opinion. Especially for watching TV shows and movies as it not only adds much better bass than my TV’s built in speakers but gives the sound better definition and makes it easier to understand dialog. (See more on that below) The 6.5 inch ported subwoofer produces bass that is pretty “tight” and not muddy. Even for low rumbles in shows and movies. Highs are clean and high mids are not harsh. There are several “sound” modes to choose from. Standard, Adaptive, Surround, Game, DTS. Standard, from what I can tell, adds no effects to the sound beyond EQ. It does allow you to boost or attenuate Bass, Treble and Subwoofer levels. I use this mode for listening to music from my TV such as SiriusXM on Dish Network or music from my phone. Think of it like listening to a component stereo system. Adaptive analyzes the sound and optimizes it for the “perfect experience”. Surround uses Samsung’s “Acoustic Beam” to create a “true” 5.1 surround sound field. The sound bar has front firing speakers and, from what I can tell on their site for this product, top firing speaks. Or is it sending the front firing through a waveguide? I think it sounds pretty good but can sound a bit odd and unnatural depending on what you are watching. Most things sound good with and a few not so much so. Game mode is supposed to enhance movement of sounds of on screen elements. I’m not a gamer so I can’t comment on its performance here. DTS (virtual 3D sound with this device) is a surround sound standard that theaters use that this device also uses to offer compatibility to sound more like a movie theater. I can’t hear any dramatic difference between it and adaptive. Setup went very easy for me following the directions of the manual that came with it. Pretty much Plug and Play. Especially if you have a Samsung TV like me. Samsung states this system is tailored for their QLED series of TV but will play well with other Samsung TVs too. The sound bar comes with a power brick and the subwoofer plugs into the wall with supplied power cable. Once you plug them into the wall you turn them on and they link up with each other. If they don't, the manual tells you how to do it manually. After you do that you will need to determine how you want to hook the system to your TV. I used the recommended connection of connecting it to my TV’s HDMI ARC port. (ARC is Audio Return Channel) This worked automatically interfacing with my Samsung TV’s Volume control. That is that the TV’s remote volume buttons worked with the sound bar without having to do anything to set it up and it come on when TV is turned on. Not only that but it also took care of other settings such as setting the HDMI audio out from PCM to Dolby Digital. Samsung’s site for this product states that the feature is compatible with Select Samsung TVs produced 2017 and later. You have other connection options too. Such as optical via a fiber optical Toslink cable and bluetooth. The manual explains how to connect them to your TV and other devices that have Bluetooth and / or an optical output. You also have options to adjust the delay of the audio so as to sync the words up to the lips. You also have the DRC (Dynamic Range Control) to keep the volume at a more constant level. See manual for details. It comes with a remote control, batteries included, to operate the sound bar. One thing to note is that the remote has 2 buttons that are also Levers for the Overall Volume and Woofer Volume. Pushing down on the Volume button Mutes it while pushing up increases the volume and pulling down lowers the volume. Pushing the Woofer button sets it to 0 (no boost) while pushing up increases the woofer’s volume and pulling down lowers the volume. There is a white (OLED?) status display in the right end of the sound bar. It’s behind the grill and looks like a scoreboard style display even though it’s not. It scrolls information Like settings and track names when using USB drives with music and shuts off after 30 seconds of no activity. Speaking of connecting other devices to your sound bar, pairing my Samsung Note 10+, Wife’s Note 9 and my Asus Zenbook to it was very easy. There’s even a pairing button on the remote control. Just follow directions in the manual to pair up devices. You can have 2 bluetooth devices active at once. I didn’t see a limit as to how many you can pair to the device. The sound bar also has a USB port for playing music files and updating its firmware. When playing music from a USB drive you use the remote control ring to skip forward, skip backward, play and pause. The status display in the right corner scrolls the song names as well as track numbers. At least with WMA files. As cheap as high capacity USB drives are, you could, theoretically, put your entire music collection on one, plug it in and leave it. Navigating it would be sequential only from what I can tell but it does have a Random setting. You hit up and down on the ring on the remote to cycle through the settings. Repeat settings and Random. Use Source on the remote to cycle through the inputs: D.in, HDMI, BT, USB. You can choose any sound mode with any source. Build quality feels solid. The sound bar can be placed in front of your TV or wall mounted with included hardware. You might need to raise the height of your TV if placed in front of it. Subwoofer has a port in the back and 6.5 inch speaker on the side that is covered in a light weight cloth. If you have a cat you will probably want to place it where the cat can’t reach it as your cat might shred it. There is no screen on the port on the back. Internal or external. Possible problem with insects depending on where you live and / or where you use the sound bar. Say a cabin in the woods, a basement area or ladybugs like I get in the fall. All things considered I would highly recommend this soundbar and subwoofer system. Especially if you have a 2017 or newer Samsung TV.

Nice system
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a really good sound system. But if your used to a surround sound that’s with multiple speakers in the room with ceiling speakers you’ll be a little disappointed. But. It’s really good if you don’t have that else where in house.

Sound quality is good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this along with a q70 Samsung TV. I have it mounted on the wall under the TV. Nice design and so far the sound is really good. TV speakers are not the best in my opinion so a sound bar is a good option to get quality sound at a reasonable price

Posted .Hi WilliamLu,
Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q60T Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the sound performance. Our 2020 HW-Q60T 5.1ch Acoustic Beam Soundbar was designed to deliver immersive 3D sound. Speakers firing from the front, side, and top brings the surround sound to life. Would buy again
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good value and sound. Subwoofer provides nice range of tones. Slight delay in latency sometimes, but that is fixed in restarting the soundbar. Overall, while there are more inexpensive soundbars out there, I'd purchase this again.

It works
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace a Sony that never worked. That one kept turning the TV on in the middle of the night and the subwoofer died when the warranty ended. The HW-Q60T works great with our TV (also a Samsung) We have had no problems with it.
