You will get better quality sound using an hdmi cable at least I do. I have on it really separates the sound.

I had to opportunity of purchasing this sound bar along with one from last year and the Harmon Kardon model has a much better impact.

Only gave 3 stars as it doesn't hold up in a bigger room, lack of an app, and an incredibly annoying white noise issue with the subwoofer that was updated. After I had to download it on a USB and do a manual update. If you need a decent sound setup and have a small room this is an incredible buy. If wanting a great setup for a family theater setup might want to look elsewhere unless budget is an issue. If it is this one works great.

Thank you for sharing your review of the Samsung HW-Q60T Soundbar. I am sorry to see that you are not completely happy with the sound performance. This soundbar features a powerful wireless subwoofer, as well as Game Pro Mode, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS Digital Surround for deep bass, rich sound, and clear tones.
You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, ADAPTIVE SOUND, or DTS VIRTUAL:X.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by toggling the button up or down. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

Amazing Sound

I’m so glad I upgraded to a 5.1 rather than 2.0 channel (it makes a big difference). The sound range is great- especially for action movies. I recommend that you move the subwoofer by your sofa to enjoy a fuller experience.

The music drowned out their voices. Replacing my old soundbar with this one resulted in a 100 % improvement.

I thought it was a good deal, since I wanted to save my TV speakers, but it doesn’t sound as good as the TV speakers. Don’t know what’s wrong. I would get a different sound system.

The receiving couple responded with a big thank you. Their current TV volume was always at 45+. Now with the install of the sound bar the volume level is now 20. The installation was straight forward no issues.

The display is nice and bright I can easily see the display from across the room. Once programmed to my TV I no longer need to make any adjustments.

We have vaulted ceilings but the sound travels so well that we have to keep it in the teens because you can hear it throughout the entire house if we don't.

I had to lay it on its back (which makes the speakers face the ceiling rather than me). Great sub though.

Especially when I use a Sony 4K video disc player. there's nothing wrong with the output of the player, and the disc itself is in perfect sync. But for whatever reasons when it routes through my Samsung TV and the soundbar, discs wind up for to eight frames out of sync. And as I retired sound editor for all the major studios, this drives me absolutely crazy!!!! The advanced audio settings don't help. Even when the audio delay is set to zero, the audio is still four or five frames out at minimum.

Thank you for purchasing the HW-Q60T soundbar and for your review. I am very sorry for the sound synchronization issue you are experiencing.
If the video on the TV and audio from the soundbar are not synchronized, press the SOUND CONTROL button on the soundbar remote, until you see AUDIO SYNC on the display. You can then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.
You can also try the below to minimize the delay:
1) Connect the source directly to the Soundbar’s HDMI input, then connect the Soundbar to the HDMI ARC input on the TV.
2) On the TV, set the Sound Delay level to 0. Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay: “0”
3) Change the audio format to PCM on both the source device and the TV.

It does lack some features. Being able to use the tv speakers and soundbar together is nice. I got this open box and didst have an hdmi cord or optical cord.

I have to attach with cord versus blue tooth, but still a nice step up before investing into a bigger screen which I can do later with this bar.

Great sound bar

I had a smaller one and had trouble hearing the voices of movies and such, the background sounds always drown out the voices, not with this one! Voices are clear and very easy to hear! I’m so happy with it!

The subwoofer gives it a deeper sound. Not as good as a surround sound speaker system with a receiver, but good enough for me.

It’s 5.1 with out rear speakers and unlike lower quality bars this has a dedicated center speaker. Works effortlessly with the Samsung TV. Very happy with this purchase.
