Its some kind of wrapping that started peeling only after a year of owning it. I am retired and halve no kids living with me. I only use use water to wash the front of the stove so there's no reason it should be peeling.

Replacement parts were sent since it was under the 1st year warranty. Its been like 3 months after start using the new parts, same problem aroused. I only use a soft sponge with soap and water to clean them every week. I never had a problem with my previous model. I think this model has a cosmetic defect which samsung should address before selling it to more customers.

Heat is consistent and theres a ton of space on the range top. Especially enjoying the long burner in the middle for making hashbrowns.
