The stove-top heats up very quickly which is great. However, the oven takes a very long time to pre-heat. The oven we replaced this with took 3 minutes to reach 450 degrees, so I am surprised how long this new one takes in comparison to a 20-year-old oven. The screen tells you the temp as it is rising, but I would say it takes around 10 minutes to pre-heat. It’s a little disappointing when you have to wait 10 minutes before throwing a pizza in for 15 minutes.

I'm comparing this to my old Maytag, the quality of which I understand is hard to replace. The stovetop really does take a while to heat up - annoying, but works fine. I do like the multi-size burners. The black stovetop is hard to get and keep clean. So shiny that anything makes it look messy. If I had it to do over again, I would choose a different brand -- I just don't know which one!
