Customers are saying

Customers regard the convection oven and ease of use as top features, with many praising its performance and user-friendliness. The burner size and overall appearance also receive positive feedback, while some appreciate the range's numerous features and sleek design. However, a notable concern involves the glass top, with some experiencing issues and finding it prone to showing smudges. A clicking noise from the oven is another recurring negative comment.

    Good, but way too loud!

The range is good overall. The only problem that I have is that it makes a constant, loud, clicking noise at all times while the oven is on. Samsung says it's totally normal, but it seems like a design flaw to me.

We installed the new stove plus used it the same night. Cooks a lot faster than my old stove, the oven is great to using either of the baking methods. Another plus is the size of oven on this model.

I'm having to readjust my cooking skills to this oven! The burners and the oven are way hotter than my old one that I'm used to! But I love it! All the features it has are awesome!

So far, samsung has replaced 3 of the heating elements. Other than that, it's been good. Cooks very quickly so I shave around 10 min off baking time.

So I like to wait a couple months before I leave reviews on appliances. And I am glad I did. I HATE , HATE HATE this stove. It is so hard to clean the glass top, my old GE was much easier to clean. The oven... Good gwads..... It take a good 45 minutes to heat up to 400*. 350* usually takes about 25 to 30 minutes. It cooks very unevened and the door of the oven will not shut. It keeps springing open about 1/2 an inch. Called Samsung about 3 different times and each time nobody could help me. They said my warranty does not cover this problem sorry. the stainless steel parts scratch very easy. I am hoping this stupid stove will self implode so I can justify buying a different oven. Next time I am getting a Maytag to Whirlpool.

We purchased this oven after agonizing over which one was the best value for the money. I have not been disappointed. It cooks magnificently and I love the warming zone. My only wish is that I could figure out how to change the temp while the oven's on instead of hitting "off" and having to re-enter new temp. It's probably just me...but we have no complaints and it looks great with our other appliances.

Dedicated Samsung customer will look elsewhere

We bought all Samsung appliances in July 2017. The fridge, microwave, dishwasher and stove cost us $3600. The stove alone was $735. That may not sound like a lot to most people but it is to us! The stove itself has been great, no issues with heating or cooking overall. The problem we have is cosmetic. To the right of the oven handle, the 'stainless' is literally peeling and flaking off. My husband called Samsung today and they basically said we were out of luck because we were out of warranty. $735 and I am out of luck?? This is truly disappointing. Every TV in this house is a Samsung as well as our washer and dryer. We have been dedicated Samsung customers for years and have always raved about the quality of their products because we have never had an issue until now. We will now be looking to other brands that stand behind their product. Thanks Samsung...

Too Much Clicking, and Oven Doesn't Bake Well

    Posted .

We have had this range for 10 days and have cooked and baked many dishes. The relays click about every 30 seconds, and are loud enough to be heard on the other end of the house. This can drive some people crazy. The clicking is NOT only during pre-heating. Another major complaint is that everything we bake is dried out on top while not being baked enough on the bottom. This is true whether we use BAKE or CONVECTION BAKE, and even when we place the food at the lowest possible position. A Geek Squad technician checked the oven temperature and said that it is correct, and that the clicking of the relays is normal for a Samsung. It's very difficult to simmer---you turn the knob down to LOW and it still boils fast. Burner sizes don't make sense, but there are very few glasstop ranges that have better sizes. (I would like a 7 or 8" burner, as most of the older-style coil stoves have). The good features: The knob settings are easy to read, the glasstop is not hard to clean with Ceramabrite, there are no sharp edges on the stainless steel (as opposed to Whirlpool and Kenmore, which are cutting hazards), the temperature is displayed as oven preheats (some other ranges don't have this feature),and the timer alarm is easy to hear (as opposed to GE ranges) About the noisy relays: The stovetop burners click on and off very often during use. The front burners have loud clicks. The rear burners have quiet clicks and are not a problem. During baking, there are about 3 clicks every 30 seconds. Sometimes, there is a quieter click, that correlates with the convection fan turning off and on. There is very little difference between BAKE and CONVECTION BAKE. In BAKE mode, the convection fan turns on for about 7 seconds, and then off for 35 seconds (it's not always the same interval), and in convection mode, the fan turns on for 12 seconds and off for 20 seconds. It repeats this cycle throughout the baking process, unless the oven temperature has exceeded the setting, in which case the clicking stopped (in BAKE mode). However, it takes a long time for oven temperature to actually get this high. After opening the oven door to put the food in, the temperature drops and it takes a long time to go back up to where it was. I would prefer an exposed element , for faster preheating, but the only ovens that have an exposed element are the type that only display one number at a time (either the timer, or the temperature). I need to see both of these numbers at the same time.

After reading the many good reviews so disappointed with this stove. No mention of the nosiness of the thing, the constant ticking and clicking when the oven is on is so irritating. Just over two weeks after the tech guy managed to get out and we're told its normal for the stove to be noisy, REALLY? It's going back.

    Not A Quality Range

First off, I am not going to tell you how good or bad this range is. I will tell you what my wife and I are going through and you can draw your own conclusion. We purchased this range exactly one year ago on 4/22/2016. We discovered about a month ago that the self cleaning function isn't working. It was still under factory warranty so we have to use the Samsung Warranty Center, even though we purchased the Geek Squad Extended Warranty. That as it turns out has been unfortunate. The Sub-Contractor that Samsung uses has been to my house three times trying to fix a simple problem. The first time they came out the tech popped in a part and said "I can't stay" and left without testing to see if he had fixed the problem. It didn't. So we had to make another appointment, This time they send out a different tech who replaced a part. He waited to see it it fixed the problem. It didn't. So we schedule another appointment for them to send out someone else, but we have to wait for the part to come in. Two weeks later the part comes in and the tech installs it, who by the way he tells us that he doesn't normally work on ranges. Anyway the new part does not fix the problem. So now the tech is on the phone with Samsung Technical. They tell him that he needs to replace the entire wiring harness. At that point we tell the tech we want a refund. He gives us a number to Samsung that we have to call to discuss getting a refund. The first time we call them and tell them why we are calling, they hang up on us. We call back. After a long discussion, we are now put in the position that we have to wait for them to replace the harness to see if that will correct the problem before anything else can go forward. This will be the fourth time that I have had to accommodate the Samsung Warranty Service Center to fix a simple problem with my "New" Range. As I mentioned earlier, draw your own conclusion.

    Glass top breaks

Within 6 months of purchasing our first new range, the glass top cracked while cooking, 12 months later it cracked again in the same place. And now 2 years after purchasing it new, the stove top broke for the 3rd time in the same place. Samsung customer support is the absolute worse to deal with, they refused to cover the repair because they blamed the breaking on us. The best thing about our horrible experience was the Lincoln Nebraska Best Buy Store. After seeing how frustrated I was over the whole experience of owning this range and dealing with Samsung, they replaced the range with a comparable one, of a better brand. I owe the a huge debt of gratitude for them taking this terrible Samsung Range off our hands, so we will no longer have to deal with the top breaking.

When using the oven, the top of the range gets warm and the top front edge (near the oven handle) gets hot. I don't have a thermometer handy, but you can't place your hand there for 5 seconds without pain. I have not experienced this with any other oven. (Note that the vents are at the back of the oven, not the front.) I called Samsung about the issue, and they told me to unplug the oven and stop using it. I called Best Buy and had it replaced, but the replacement behaves identically. I'm very disappointed.
