Not too happy with this tv. Not clear and the sound isn't good.

I have owned this for 9 months and the screen went black while watching. I noticed a small rainbow color in the bottom left of the screen and realized the frame was warped and melting. Very disappointed with Samsung's customer service when I contacted them regarding the damage.

This 50 inch doesnt looks big. But functions good.

Needed to get a sound bar to amplify the sound....

I like the new features the tv has, you tube, hulu

The Samsung TV had a manufacturing defect in the TV stand and connecting unit. I called Best Buy for a replacement of the same and as against advising that the entire package including the TV has to be replaced, they did inform incorrectly on what needs to be done which has resulted in an issue which has only got complicated and not resolved for over 40 days as of now. The TV has been returned and confirmed by Best Buy, however the money has not been refunded and multiple reasons are given which gives an impression that the delay is being done on purpose as I have placed over 15 calls. Best Buy customer service is the worst I have experienced. Buy your next with them at your own risk.

Enjoying my TV. I own other Samsung. I own other Samsung devices and find the quality and functions great. One big complaint, why does it take so long to turn on? I have another Samsung Smart TV that does not require that much time. I think, like most companies, they could have done a better job with the remote control. 1. Too hard for those of us that need reading glasses to see – this remote is actually smaller than the one I had on my other Samsung. 2. Responsiveness with the Samsung wireless keyboard and with the typing is not great. Again likely the technology – opportunity for all companies to improve. Really like my Flat Screen Smart TV.

My last set was a Samsung 42 inch Plasma. It lasted almost 8 years. Man, that TV was Great. This is the replacement I chose for Value and Quality. Its a really good purchase. Easy to setup. I ran into a communication issue when connecting to my Router. No big deal, I still had my Roku, so I just connected it to the Set. The only reason I gave it 4 Stars is that I still see the motion shutter associated with conventional LED technology, even with the present refresh rate, or they call it a motion rate.... the old Plasma was better. Ah well, its still a good buy.

It takes a few minutes and a few tries to log on to amazon Netflix or any other app thought it was Internet speed but got another tv for another room and it doesn't have those problems

The television only lasted two years, before the screen went to vertical lines and then black. The Geek Squad did replace it on the extended warranty we brought.

review was not so good, but I think the brand is a quality product. So I bought the same one and there has been no problems yet. I did purchase a warrantee, just in case.

I think that this 50 inch Samsung was a absolutely great choice.It has a great picture and I'm very happy with it.

The Samsung 50" HDTV is excellent and very low price with good quality and proven leader in the industry. This is our first venture into HDTV and I could not be happier. Easy to set up. Has backwards compatibility for older options along with all the new bells and whistles. I recommend getting at a minimum a Sound Bar. The sound is OK from the Factory however they are tiny and point downwards. This is normal for all HDTV. In order to get the (slim) design sound quality had to go. As a minimum a low cost Sound Bar with no Sub Woofer works just fine. You can always go up if you are into really big sound. However with the 50" being the (entry level) for a home entertainment system that is a personal choice.

Takes a long time to connect in order to be able to stream a show. The screen quality is ok.

As a tv it functions fine.. Smart hub is soo slow tho.. I find myself using other tvs in the house to avoid the issue..

I’ve had the tv for 5 years. Seemed to be a great television. Today the tv caught fire and melted the screen. I don’t believe all Samsung TVs are bad. I have 6 of them! This was the only one this size and the only one that has given me any trouble . Sorry I have no photos to show the damage.

Very disappointed with picture clarity. No better than a tv of similar value from 5 years ago.

Had a great picture for two years then it failed....

TV volume/sound can not be controlled by CATV remote when using AUX OUT port.
