The TV screen developed multiple horizontal lines within a year and started melting the bottom right side of the screen bezel. Had screen replaced under warranty & new screen has since developed horizontal lines.

This is my first Smart TV. I was pretty impressed with the ease of setting it up, including installing the base stand. I was able to hook up my AT&T WiFi very easily and the initial setup of channels, etc was a breeze. I think it took all of 20 minutes and I was watching Netflix! The picture quality is awesome, with the exception of some action movies there seems to be a bit of a blur when there is a lot of fast movements. I thought it'd be better than it is even though the refresh rate is only 120. However, for the price, it is a great buy!

Just got this yesterday and I think it was a good choice. We have DirecTV, wireless internet and apple TV connected to it. Movies are of a clarity I have not seen before. In previous LED/LCD of 40" or above with 60HZ refresh rates have significant motion blur and this TV is exceptional at providing clarity to where it appears as though the action was happening right in front of you. I did see the skipping at first that others were noting but there are a few settings where you can adjust how that is handled that best suits your viewing. The stand is wide and stability adequate. The Sports Mode brings intense colors and sounds - possibly to bright for some and maybe colors are a little too intense than reality - tough to tell - but it brings a different viewing experience for sports. The overall sound is sufficient to me, it has a "surround sound" mode - of course not reaching the true surround sound and bass experience as a sound bar or audio system would bring - nor expected to. I think it's a great TV, we've discovered movie watching again!

Didn't like the tv. Poor picture. Traded it in for another brand.

Find the picture is dark even after adjusting. Disappointed.

honestly we bought this back in 2015 and it takes foreverrrrrrr to open up netflix or hulu. Then we tried downloading other things showtime and we cant. too much money spent on this crap tv

seems to have a great picture, easy to use so far, does seem to be lacking on the Samsung apps store, thought there should be a much better selection of apps, such as discovery channel and actual history channel tv apps like roku supports. would buy another one so far though for the same amount or less, was a great price under 500. a whole dollar.

Purchased on special for $500, great deal. Really crisp picture and easy setup. You will need a screw driver though to put the base on the TV but this wasn't too difficult to do. I bought a sound bar to go with it, which is something I would advise you do as well. Overall a great size for an apartment living room. Very bright and vibrant colors.

The TV'S they make now are junk!!!!I had a 47" L.G.,and the screen monitor quit working after 1 year.Now the Samsung 50" did the exact same thing after 3 1/2 years.

I have been looking for a TV for my living room so I read all the reviews on smart TVs. I found this TV was rated very high for this price point. It has everything that I was looking for. Easy set up, Awesome Picture, and you can't beat the price. Buy this TV you will not be disappointed..

This monitor was set way too bright, and I wasn't able to correct for that. I returned it the next day. You get what you pay for. It was cheap, and worth even less.

The display in this TV crashed and burned after just 5 years. Incredibly disappointing!

I could just end my review with what my 8yr old son said when it first turned on..."Wow!". LOL. We have gone through a few tv's trying to find the right one that will balance our budget and expectations. This tv is it. I thought I liked the LG tv we had...until we saw this Samsung. The 120hz panel, the beauty of the picture, and the reviews on here and another ratings site tipped the scale for us to buy this one. It does have the ability to play movies off the USB, has an ethernet port and does wifi, and has an easy to use interface. Solid 4 stars. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the TV is still not as thin as competitors and only has 2 HDMI ports.

My husband and I had a 32in Samsung,but we decided it was time to upgrade. We went to the store bought the 50", set it up and ever since we enjoy it.The quality, sound, picture is amazing and all for a great price. Samsung never seems to disappoint me

Make sure your salesperson is educated in opening up best but accounts and their reward system ornyoull spend days trying to correct it

Horizontal lines, one corner is turned black and it's getting very warm. Defective product from Samsung.

A great TV to have in the bedroom...sound quality is great, more than enough apps to keep a person occupied, and the screen quality is awesome. It's true that this TV only has two HDMI ports but iPlan to use this tv as just that, a TV! An even better deal compared to the cost of the 4K or the SUHD TV's. Black Friday/Cyber Monday purchase...originally $749.99, saved $200. Such a great deal, I'm actually trading up to the 55" model (UN55J6200AFXZA)...originally $849.99, bought it for $579.99. I'm sure someone will enjoy this 50" just as much as I am...when a deal as good as this comes along, why not trade up?

bad buy, nothing worked properly, smart tv that is really dumb! bad picture. slow apps. returned it after 2 days.

Completely broke down in less than 4 years without heavy use No picture just busted

I brought this only got like a month of use the panel board went out Lg so much better
