The software that runs on it has room for improvement. The UI is intuitive, it is just slow. I typically have to let the TV sit for a minute once I turn it on before I use the remote otherwise it will lag. Overall good purchase.

To optimize the smart TV performance, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware (ver1577.3). You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

However, it mutes on its own and as many times as we press the vol button, nothing happens. We have to change the channel to get it to come back on

It was on sale and for the money, you can't be quality of the picture, the slim 1" design for depth and minimal frame edge. The remote is not my favorite but I use the Xfinity remote more than anything so not a deal breaker.

I do have to play with some of the settings some more. Sometimes picture is clear, sometimes a little fuzzy. Maybe it's the 4k, not sure. Definitely recommend. Was pleasantly surprised to see tv's have come down in price, since last purchase.

Of course, the manufacturer warranty was expired and Samsung repair was minimum $200 plus parts. I regret not buying the geek squad warranty. From the beginning, we frequently would have to restart the TV, it would freeze up, just not user friendly. I sprung on this TV because of the quality of the picture and good reviews. This will be the last Samsung product I ever purchase. Lesson learned, if you want a TV that’ll last a year or two, go with one that’s cheaper.

What a difference the screen is crystal clear with vibrant colors from every angle. I can’t say enough about it and wished I had purchased it sooner. Would highly recommend as the price point is extremely reasonable for comparable size TVs!
