    The volume varies from one scene to another and from one channel to another. Have not experienced this with previos TVs.

    I brought 2 of these TV's at two different times, about a year apart. The first one stop working and the screen was black and it took a few hours to turn on. Eventually the second one started to do the same however because it was still under warranty they came and fixed the problem. I will say since they fixed the second one no problems at all. Beware though!!

    Outstanding product, one of the best tv’s I have purchased from Best Buy. No sound bar was needed even though the sales person was insisting that it did.

    This TV replaced a 2017 Samsung UN49MU8000 that got zapped by a power surge/lightning strike. To my knowledge it would be considered the current model year update to the 2017 I previously had. The good: it has nice picture quality, is very slim, and the price can't be beat. The bad: the sound quality is severely lacking. All sound modes produce what I can only describe as a tinny experience - a sound bar is a must. The speed of the TV in terms of browsing through the menus and home bar apps is noticeably laggy and for sure slower than the 2017 model it replaced. In a silent room, while powered-off this TV also produces a tick-tock clock noise! I can't imagine what a 7000 or 6000 series gets you if an 8000 series is this lacking. Overall, this would probably be fine in a bedroom or guest room, but is not a main living area TV.

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung AU8000 Crystal UHD TV and for sharing your review. I’m sorry to hear that your out-of-box experience has initially fallen short of your expectations.

      If you are experiencing slow response to the remote, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care

      Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

      Additionally, there are image adjustments you can make to optimize your audio to suit your preferences. You can select a sound mode that you prefer for a content type or your listening environment. Go to: Settings > Sound > Sound Mode

      You can also customize sound with Expert Settings. Go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings

      Please know, Samsung TVs use a combination of metal and plastic material. These materials are subject to expansion and contraction due to temperature changes. Occasional creaking, popping, or cracking may be heard. With this in mind, here are a few quick tips on how to reduce the expansion that can cause these noises.

      1) Ensure that there is adequate ventilation. Some enclosures may not allow for proper ventilation. This causes the internal temperature to increase and the plastic to expand even more than normal. For recommended ventilation requirements, please see your user manual.

      2) Make sure there aren't any heating or air conditioning vents pointing directly at the TV.

      3) Verify that the TV is on a flat and level surface. Tilting or an uneven stand can increase these noises.

    This is a very nice TV. The remote was a little difficult to figure out at first. I've never had one that didn't have number buttons.

    Incredible picture and quality. The extended warranty covered my old 50 inch took a week some confusion on Best Buys part but my old one got replaced.

    No RCA plugs any place on the TV to connect sround sound. You have to buy additional equipment to be able to hear the TV.

    Amazing Delivery and Ease of Transaction

    The ease of purchase was great. Most importantly the attention the delivery personnel gave upon delivery was phenomenal. Danilo and his companion Juan were professional. They called beforehand indicating estimated time of arrival and asked if we had any special requests. In person, they were friendly and carried the delivery for my 62 year old-diabetic mother upstairs. The overall interaction was better than any expected and encourages us to purchase once again from Best Buy. These delivery people, Danilo and Juan makes your image that much better. Thank you for the ease of transaction and for having such astute and diligent individuals working.

    I have had this product for literally 2.5 years and paid over $400 when it was new and it is no longer working! I have been a Samsung customer through and through and this has made me second guess whether or not to ever purchase another Samsung product. The top left of the screen has started pixelating and then the tv turns its self off and then back on. This happens over and over and I can’t use the tv at all. To add to it, this is one of the slowest tvs I have ever had! I am so disappointed in Samsung as a whole. When spending good money on a product it should work for YEARS to come, not a couple and done!
