The DU6900 TV offers 2 HDMI ports and is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capable, allowing a seamless connection across multiple devices at a time. If your external device requires an Optical port, we recommend utilizing an HDMI to Optical Converter. These can be found at your local electronics store. Please also keep in mind that an Optical port can be found on our DU8000F Series and above.

Bad experience

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 50" Samsung tv online, I drove 75 miles to pick it up, when open it to installed, this was an open box Tv missing parts, I called Best Buy online to make a complain then I was told to bring it to the closest Best Buy store, but they refused to get it and make me drive back 75 miles to return it. I drove 300 miles back and forth and never got the tv. it's a very bad experience and i am waiting for the investigation result and for my $100.00 dollars card that was offer to me.

Terrible Customer Service.

Installer came out with the tv but no mount. Installer said he would gladly go get the mount, but Customer Service girl said no. Said I would have to pick it up. How does that make any sense? Installer can pick up the tv, but not a $30 mount.

Picture Quality?

1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Most suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.

Bought a tv and 30 days from date of purchase it quit working. When I contacted them I was informed that they only cover the tv for 15 days from purchase nit when it was delivered. Said sorry cannot do anything since I didnt spend more money for extended warranty.. 15 days big joke..

Don’t waste your money. Lasted 2 months

It will occasionally produce sound or miraculously come on, but it is impossible and unreliable. I’ve always like Samsung products, but never again. This TV was delivered in December. It is now February. That’s 2 months!!!! Of course it didn’t start until after the 30 day return window. Don’t waste your money.

If you've switched on your TV and the sound comes through fine, but you do not see any picture, there are three potential issues.
1) A connection issue is the most common problem where there is a bad connection, faulty cables, or improper installation.
2) An issue with the device connected to the TV. There may be a video output setting on the device that you must set properly before it will output to the TV.

Defect on screen. Day 1

I left the plastic on and set up the tv and i finally take the palstic of and theres a defect on the middle bottom. I guess thats why this tv is cheap. I should've read all the reviews including the 1 star because they tell you the truth and you should listen. I returned it for a full refund. I do not recommend.

Poor customer service

Call customer service and they could not replace and could only get refund. Had to re-package and find UPS location to return and whole ordeal. No concessions for the inconvenience. The refund process took way too long. Took about 3 weeks.

Does not keep WiFi credentials.

I bought this same TV 2 years ago and it had the same problem. The last model died with screen issues. Getting off this crazy train now.

First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. To ensure you do not miss any Firmware Updates, I recommend enabling Auto Updates. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update> then select Auto Update.
Next, let's try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.

Samsung TV goes kaput

If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue:
1. Press the Home button on the remote.
If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues.
Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power).
2. Confirm that the TV is set to the same source as the external device.
For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1.
If the TV is set to the correct source, but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced.
After reconnecting the external device, please turn it off and back on.
3. Test the HDMI cable.
The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords.
To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required.
4. Test different external devices.
The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port.
If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it.
