My only complaint is after turning off it makes random clicking/popping noised for at least 30 minutes after. Can be a bit frustrating when trying to fall asleep. Other than that it was a great purchase!

It's great to hear you are enjoying the 4k quality picture of the DU8000. If you are hearing a loud static noise, it could be caused by electrical feedback. I recommend the following:
1. Arranging the cables and making sure the TV has good ventilation will keep it quiet.
2. Check the cables. Make sure all cables are connected firmly to the proper, color-coded inputs on the TV and on the external devices.
3. Replace the audio connection cable.
Replace the audio connection cable, even if it is an HDMI or RF coaxial cable. Then test again to see if the issue still occurs.
4. Try connecting a different external device to the same input on the TV.
Connect a different device to the same input on the TV using the same connection cables.
For example, if a cable box is connected using the component connections, try connecting a DVD player to the same input with the same cables.
If there is no buzzing, crackling, or humming with the second external device connected, the original device (the cable box in this example) is the source of the noise.

Got it for my 70+ mother, it’s taking a while for her to adjust to smart tv apps and remote without numbers for channel change. It would be nice if the remote would light up when picked up in the dark and if it was colorful to find see it instead of just black.

I have cable and when I turn it on it goes to the tv wifi first. Also I lost the phone # showing up on the tv when I get a call

I'm glad you reached out to us. While your DU8000 TV may currently default to Samsung’s TV Plus app, please know you can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Option.
1) Enabling Start with Smart Hub Home automatically launches Smart Hub when the TV is turned on. Navigate to this option to enable or disable the feature.
2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off by pressing the Select button in the current menu

I had it on earlier in the day, watching my Little House on the Prairie, stepped out for an hour, came home, put up my tree, and boom, no tv! I did all the troubleshooting, tried everything google and YouTube gave me. Even Best Buy. Their response was a Service Call for $129.00. I don't think so. I even tried Samsung. Same thing. Service call. Everything I own is Samsung. I'm so flipping angry that my big bad 50" tv just took a poop a year after I got it. And NOBODY gives a * either. My parents have a Samsung tv from 20 years ago. Still works great. Thanks for listening ya'll.
