Plugin your units, cable, DVD, etc. as directed, turn it on and it reads and sets up everything for you. One thing you may want to do is turn off the Bluetooth reception as every time you boot up a computer with Bluetooth, your TV will turn on if it is off and will switch to attempt to play audio files from the computer.
