I bought this TV in July and returned/replaced it because after a couple of weeks the TV began clicking like an egg timer. For reasons that will become apparent shortly, I have to stress that returning the TV to Best Buy during the pandemic was a real hassle. But the details matter less, for this story, than the basic fact that Best Buy's customer service, at least in August, was not so great. Anyway, the replacement TV worked very well for a couple of weeks-- great picture quality. Of course, just a couple weeks into ownership, things went awry. At first the TV exited streaming on its own. Then the remote became sluggish. Then the TV was unresponsive. Eventually, the TV wouldn't power on at all. It did occasionally work as it should for a day or two, before failing. Keep in mind, this is all within the first month of ownership. And since the problems materialized so close to the (new) purchase date, I still had the option to return/replace. However, because my earlier return/replace experience was so bad, I opted to just have it repaired. Well, just my luck, the TV started working again, just as it should, a day or two before the repairman came by-- like the tooth that stops hurting shortly before your dental appointment. So, when the tech arrived, he didn't see anything wrong with with the TV. Given the inconsistency in operation, though, the tech suspected the problem may have been the anynet. So, he disabled that feature, and went about his business. No shock, but after a couple days of normal use, the TV stopped working again. So, I find myself waiting for the repairman to return. Readers should keep in mind that I have "owned" two different examples of this Samsung Q60, and both were defective. I have had example two since August 4. It is now September 16. So, it's fair to say the TV has been inoperable for most of this time it's been in my possession. It's also worth noting that Samsung did a lousy job of booking my repair order, but I won't delve into that here. I have purchased SEVEN Samsung HDTVs over the past several years-- for myself, my wife, and my parents. I like Samsung's designs (which are elegant) and the picture quality. Over the past couple years, though, Samsung's mechanical quality control has declined sharply. In fact, my defective Q60 no. 1 and no. 2 were intended to replace a Samsung MU 7000 series that failed in the 11month of ownership. Since it was still (barely) under the stock factory warranty, I had it repaired; however, in the 25th month of ownership the screen assembly failed, and in the absence of warranty coverage (I had a two year warranty) I had to scrap it. Based on previous experience with Samsung, I thought my MU7000 experience might have been a fluke. My Q60 experience makes clear that Samsung is on a downward spiral, from quality control to customer assistance. So, the Samsung Q60 will be the LAST Samsung TV I will EVER purchase. If you're feeling lucky, roll the dice on this poorly constructed TV. If not, you should strongly consider purchasing a different model or, better yet, a different brand altogether.
