The whole reason for the Frame doesn’t work

My older models still work great. In the morning as soon as you crack a shade up slightly, the Art appears. At night, it turns off. The new tv - nope. If I shine a flashlight directly on the sensor it wakes up. But then turns off again. At night, it doesn’t turn off. Even with sleep time. I’ve tried everything. Had a Samsung tech come. He tried to get motion sensor working. Nope. He called back to Samsung. Was told a firmware update is available. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear on the tv so I can do it automatically. The tech had no idea how to do it from the internet. I do now, but don’t have a USB port. I’ll go get one and download it, but something tells me this newer tv is a problem. A positive of the newer model is there is no glare and watching tv in daytime is a better experience from the older models. But I want the art to display.

We appreciate you sharing your experience with Art Mode on your Frame TV. If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.
