    Don’t like automatic loading of Samsung web page

    I don’t care for Samsung loading their web page on first turning on. Not user friendly when trying to sync with other brands equipment. I do like the picture though and it’s lite weight.

      Hi Tommy,

      Thank you for your review. While your U7900 TV may currently default to Samsung TV Plus when powered on, you can customize what your TV does at startup by adjusting the Start Screen Options.

      To do this, navigate to: Settings > All Settings > Advanced Features > Start Screen Option and choose from the following:
      1. Start with Smart Hub Home – Automatically launches Smart Hub when the TV is turned on. You can enable or disable this option based on your preference.
      2. Autorun Multi View Casting – If you cast YouTube content from your mobile device, the TV will automatically display the content using Multi View.
      3. Autorun Multi View Mirroring – When you screen mirror your mobile device, Multi View will automatically open to show your device’s screen.

    I bought this for my 80-year-old mother, and she loves it. The remote functionality is very easy for her to use.

    Picture good, sound good. 1 star because setup was very frustrating primarily because instructions given on screen were mostly incomplete or wrong. This setup can not be done unless you have a Samsung account. No account - no setup. I didn't like that but followed on screen for creating an account. Instructions did not work. After numerous tries both thru the TV and on line, I finally got the account using the QR code. Once setup was complete, instructions for using settings were wrong - one step was left out that I stumbled on by accident. Instructions said go to settings then general, I would go to settings only to find no general. No mention of you must open support first. Very frustrating. Final frustration was the TV lost my internet connection. It did not save the connection info, so I had to reenter everything. While enter router PW the TV would time me out. I could not type it fast enough. On line answer to this problem was to use an external USB keyboard so I could type faster. 1st time I have ever had to enter a router PW quickly - another frustration. I'm grateful I have a satellite TV service which does work with the TV thru HDMI. I have not and will not recommend this TV to a friend because of frustrating set up process and wrong instructions. I would seriously consider before recommending to my worst enemy.

    a good TV for a good price, I recommend checking out the Openbox section; you can save a lot of money.

    The tv is nice, and the buying process was really essy, but the picture doesn't seem as crisp as the 15 year old led I replaced
