Poor quality, too dark and keeps crashing. Avoid.

None of the brightness or viewing setting work to address this issue. It makes everything unwatchable. Additionally, the plugs are straight from the back of the unit, so it doesn’t work for wall mounting. Our last Samsung had plugs to the side for this. All the streaming applications keep frapping out as well, and we are forced to reboot the TV & software multiple times a week. We bought this TV a couple months ago to replace another Samsung that died after 3 years. Overall very disappointed with Samsung. We’re returning this one and won’t be buying another.

We’re sorry to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the picture quality on your Samsung U8000F TV. If the image appears too dark, we suggest disabling certain energy-saving features, which can automatically adjust brightness and affect how the screen looks.
Go to: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving, then turn off Brightness Optimization, Energy Saving Solution, Motion Lighting, and/or Contrast Enhancer.
You can also adjust the Picture Mode to better suit your environment: Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode
• Standard – Default mode for general viewing
• Dynamic – Brighter and clearer, ideal for well-lit rooms
• Movie – Best for dark room viewing
• Eco – Energy-saving mode
• Filmmaker Mode – Preserves content as intended by creators
To fine-tune brightness, go to: Home > left directional key > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings, then adjust the Brightness level (0–50) to your preference.

disappointed

Broken screen

So my TV arrived in a perfect box with no damage whatsoever anywhere on the box, not even as much as a little scrape or dent or anything. So when I opened up the box and pulled the TV out, the whole entire screen was coming off of the back of the TV and it was all scratched up. So I looked at some reviews and apparently a whole lot of people are having the same problem, receiving this television with broken screens. Not only that but this whole entire television just has a very super cheap feel to it. It's light as a feather for a reason, it's a piece of crap. So I had to pay an extra $100 to rent a car so I could return the TV back to Best Buy because they wouldn't come and pick it up.

I will never purchase from Best Buy again with there 15 day policies on Televisions.

Recieved Broken and Severely Cracked

I don't know what else to say, but I'll definitely be looking for a different TV with more of it in-stock. For those who want to buy this TV know that the build of it is severely thin and flimsy, which is probably the cause for the cracked screen, etc. I'd say look for something with more protection, or better and thicker material. Atleast they gave me a full refund.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're sorry for any confusion surrounding the screen on your Samsung TV. We understand it may look like the barcode sticker is applied directly to the display, but it’s actually attached to a protective film covering the screen.
When a screen film is included, it’s usually marked with an orange pull tab in one of the corners, along with a small illustration showing how to remove it safely. In some cases, the film may not have a tab - but you’ll still find a barcode sticker applied to it.
To remove the film, place a piece of tape on one corner, press firmly, and gently lift. The protective layer should begin to peel away with the sticker still attached.

I wouldn’t buy another!

1. Check the Remote’s Batteries: If you haven’t already, try replacing the batteries with new ones and confirm they’re inserted correctly.
2. Check IR Functionality: Use your phone’s camera to look for a flashing light at the front of the remote when pressing a button. If you see it, the IR signal is working.
3. Enable Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC): If the connected device supports HDMI-CEC, the TV remote can control it. To enable Anynet+: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = On
4. Set Up Universal Remote (if needed): If your external device doesn’t support HDMI-CEC, go to: Home > left directional key > Connected Devices > Universal Remote Setup, and follow the on-screen instructions.
