Power bar has a great sound and it was easy to install. The black color blends right in with my flat screen TV and you don't even notice it's there.

I absolutely love this system. I bought another one before this, an rca 1000 watt 7.1 wired surround sound. I brought it back because it was that terrible. This one is louder at 300 watts then the 1000 watt I had!? Bass is amazing! I play Battlefield 4 on xbox one, the explosions are wicked, dubstep songs are out of this world. At half power is plenty for an amazing music experience. Any louder I'm afraid I might blow out my living room windows.

This sound bar produces very good sound and is a huge improvement over the TV speakers. The wireless subwoofer is very convenient, but does not produce very deep "rich" bass. It's not bad at all for a bedroom or a small space where noise volume might be an issue...but don't expect the same power that you would receive from a sub that's wired directly to a receiver or sound bar. Overall it's a decent product and worth purchasing, just as long as you aren't expecting deep bass that will blow you away.

Moved into a new house and bought a Samsung 55" Series 6 TV. Paired it with a Samsung 400 series soundbar, but was unhappy with the sound quality - shallow, "tinny" sound, not much better than the TV speaker. Took that back and picked up the 500 series soundbar, and I think it was worth the $100 price difference. Much better sound. I'm coming from a full 7.1 "man cave" theater setup in the previous home, so I have to keep reminding myself that a soundbar simply isn't going to compare to my prior HT setup. And indeed it doesn't. Does it sound good? yeah, pretty much. Does it sound better than the TV speakers? Definitely. Does it sound awesome? No. But I think its good enough, since I refuse to punch holes in my new walls and no longer do I have the space for big towers, a center speaker etc. Also seems to be highly dependent on source, more so than my prior HT setup. What IS good is seamless integration with the TV - power and volume are seamless across the TV, soundbar, or my cablebox remote. SQ might be better with another brand, but from what I've read compatibility is compromised. Bluetooth works flawlessly as well when paired to my iPad. The one surprise, after reading countless reviews, was the power brick - WTF? The wireless connectivity feature diminishes due to the power brick - not that I was expecting wireless power, but I certainly didn't expect a power brick to deal with (eventually zip tieing it to the mass of cords behind the TV).

Great sound, great options. Easy to set up and worked immediately as advertised. I bought one step down for myself and this one for my daughter.

I wanted a soundbar to improve my home viewing experience and to play music when friends came over. It's perfect for just that. The price and mobility of the bar are great. I can hook it up to my TV or use it to play music in other parts of the house. The subwoofer really kicks the sound quality up a notch!

I picked up this bar because I needed to replace my 14 year old Bose 3.2.1 and while it doesn't have quite as much bass as the Bose system, it does deliver (with some messing around with the EQ) For my somewhat small room this does put out a decent amount of sound even at the "12" volume setting. I got it for a price match so I saved about 100$ off and probably will buy another one when the time comes (hopefully not for a long time) I can't use the SoundConnect or Bluetooth because they do not seem to support my Samsung Smart TV or Apple iPhones. (go figure)

I agonized over my soundbar purchase for the better part of a month, reading all of the "Best Soundbars of 2015" rankings (who knows how those lists are really compiled...), reading reviews, and pouring over specs. I also did not want to spend a lot of money. I finally settled on the 500 series because it offers the best value and combo of all of the options I looked at. I especially appreciate that it has DTS and Dolby Digital codecs and you can also select different "Sound Effects" for Cinema, Voice, Music, Sports, and "Night", which is my favorite for the majority of TV viewing because it really highlights speech over background noise and makes it so much easier to understand what's being said (especially for those British dramas or anything with accents which I had to use closed caption on when I was only listening through my TV speakers). It's fantastic for music too, and no matter what you're listening to if you crank it up all the way it will make the house shake. I live in a New York apartment, so I don't need to fill a suburban living room, but I have no doubt it's up to the task for that and large basements or other rooms, too. One thing to note - I assumed that my HDTV had a optical audio-out jack, but it's a first-gen HDTV and so only had a digital coaxial audio-out, which meant I had to get a digital coaxial to optical audio converter (and the coaxial cable). It still works great (you can buy the cable and converter on monoprice.com), but make sure you know what you need ahead of time.

Great product for the price. This sound bar features a wireless subwoofer, multiple sound modes, and sound that will rumble the house and remain crystal clear. This product is exactly what I wanted in a sound bar. There are multiple methods of input including optical, hdmi, and Bluetooth. The subwoofer is wireless and is surprisingly powerful.

The sound is very good. I really like the Bluetooth feature.

This soundbar has greatly amplified the sound in my living room. I have connected it to my 60" Samsung LED tv, and it sounds much better than the built in speakers. The subwoofer is strong, yet somewhat compact, and is also connected wireless. This is for someone that wants a decent upgrade in sound, but doesn't wanna spend big bucks for it.

TV sounded horrible in a big room. This soundbar was easy to set up and sounds great.

This sound bar sounds better than the TV speakers, even though the TV speakers are not that bad. The bass is much better with the sound bar.

The sound bar we purchased sounds really good. We had a problem with it one day right after we got it installed. The sound kept messing up, going in and out. When I turned it off and started using the volumn on the TV, we no longer had a problem. The next day I turned it back on and it worked just fine. Every once in a while it will mess up, but not like that one day. It was really bad. If it starts up again, I will call store.

Employee demonstrated the unit and compared to the others, this was by far the best.Great sound bar! Sound was clear, crisp, and loud. This subwoofer pumps nicely but doesn't overwhelm the rest of the sound. Great surround effect and impressive upgrade over stock samsung flat screen speakers. Sound bar is extremely low profile and blends in under the tv nicely without blocking front of tv at all! Prob the best mid-tier sound bar currently on the market. Definitely a great buy.

Sounds good, love the Bluetooth. Took a few minutes to get sound I wanted, especially the subwoofer and base. Overall very pleased.
