Not what I had hoped
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Technology is ahead of the picture transmitted from cable and if HD option is not chosen the picture seems fuzzy. In low light conditions the picture gets darker. If I had to buy again I would choose the UHD model and save $500.

Not up to par
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Before we purchased this tv we spent a couple of weeks doing our research and according to cnet and consumer reviews it seemed this was the best tv in the price range that we wanted to spend. That turned out to be completely wrong. The colors on the tv were way off and the "halos" around people were too much for us to handle. We tried using a calibration dvd to help and even after calibration the same problems persisted. It's entirely possible that we received a faulty set but either way we returned the tv. We purchased the LG8500 series and are 10x happier with the new set. After reading all the positive reviews on this tv online we were sure this was the tv for us. Hopefully this will save someone else from making the same mistake.
